:imwith: Eger gets my vote over Llera as he's less prone to give away free kicks in dangerous areas and against a striker with the guile of Kuqi- and didn't do much wrong in the first place to merit being dropped.

Would like to see Forrester, Clarkson and Grella involved but think Uwe will go with the formation that ground out results against Wycombe and Walsall.

Hope not, we need to be hitting teams on the break away from home. Woodman's days here are numbered IMO. Our entire system under Uwe relies on attacking full backs.

Surely Adams will play if fit. I'm sure Uwe has seen enough of Woodman to know he ain't a starter.

The good news for you is that Dean Furman (scored the equaliser at your place a year ago) is injured and the only home win for Oldham this season was against Rochdale, and needed them to play most of the game with 10 men.

That's him.

We managed to concede a headed goal to him last season!

He's a hard worker who gets stuck in, but possibly has a bit of a creative flair in him. We'll see. Looks like a good signing.

Diallo's only played one game at left back and got sent off, but looked impressive up to that point. Clarke's on loan from Huddersfield with Simpson. Adeyemi looks a tidy player in from Norwich for a few months, although not sure he's struck up any obvious partnership. Reid was signed for £500k by West Brom a couple of seasons back, but I think he prefers Nando's a little too much. Smith on the bench wins every header and some of them go in the right direction. I'd expect to see him on for the last 20 minutes.

Agree that it would be good to see Adams start after a promising debut against Colchester, he looked good going forward though as yet I can't comment on his defensive capability-although as an England U20 Intrnational you would have thought he would be more than competent. Can't agree with your comments re Woodman. He's a solid defensive left back who has rarely let the team down and will continue to play a part in the squad this year. IMHO far too early to write him off as you appear to have done.

Yes , thats why he keeps picking him. I am sure we would all like to see Blair perform like he did against Colchester but why do people have to take take digs at Woodman who has been a good player for us ?

Only when he's had no choice? Woodman has been a consistently average player for us - not good, not bad.

If Kuqi is likely to play, then Llera is the only centre back that won't get brushed aside; he's got to be our only match, pound for pound. We need one solid unit and one mobile CB. Likewise, if Adams starts, then I'd want to see Woodman on the bench, not Wood, or vice versa. We can play a breakaway game away from home but - as someone once mentioned - keep it tight, Brentford.
