Think Woods should be competing with Sawyers. He isn't as good as Kamo or Josh at defending imo so shouldn't be in central holding role. Can't see Woods starting on saturday. Believe it will be Sawyers, Kamo, Nico.

Not at all, I just think Kamo is better in that role, in that formation. Woods was brilliant last season playing in Sawyers pos when our midfield was Nico, Josh, Woods.

Mokotjo in for Yennaris and if Dalsgaard is not ready then Yennaris at RB. Would like to see Archibald on the wing as he might have more composure than Josh Clarke.

Heard he had a great game but also heard he wasn't tested defensively. If we're only going with one central holding player then as you said several times last season that position is not best suited for Woods, it's a massive responsibility on his own. Imo he's best in Sawyers or Nicos position.

That first team mentioned makes me laugh, why would we suddenly draft in the B team? We have some good players in this squad and I have a funny feeling if we go unchanged we could give Reading a tonking. About time we took our chances init

Will players that have been missing chances left right and centre (e.g. Maupay) start taking them ? Hope you are right . If Dalsgaard is injured our selection options are quite limited especially if DS prefers Josh C to Nico at RB

Only said it with Clarke most likely having to play full back. Leaving Flo and Watkins to play wide. Ive not been impressed with Flo this season and Im sure Watkins would prefer playing up top and Im sure Maupey would benefit. Also its a way of getting Josh M in the team.

With injuries the options on the flanks and up front are extremely slim. I'd really like to see Mokotjo play- seems like a Diagouraga type player from initial impressions. Also think Josh needs to play- has too much quality not to. Sawyers as number 10 but sadly leaves no place for Woods. Just think the combination of Kamo Josh Romaine could work well. If Clarke plays RB in the absence of Dalsgaard its an option to play Nico there like he did before. Jozefzoon just isn't doing it atm so shouldn't be starting imo. Maybe give Archibald a go if he thinks he's ready. Watkins is also being played out of position, the lad isn't a LW. I have no idea how you accommodate him in the middle with all the other options mind. Potentially as the main striker to take some weight off Maupay but who can then play left? More questions than answers...

Struggling to see where goals are going to come from at the moment so want to see Watkins supporting Maupay. Sawyers can drift in allowing Rico to get wide with Kamo covering. I've gone for Bjelland because I think Barbet makes too many mistakes- has good distribution (at times) and is extremely comfortable on the ball but we're so naïve at the back and need some more experience in there. Bjelland hasn't been great for us by any means (injury won't have helped) but now is the time we really need him imo.

With the current lack of options on the wings 352 might not be the worst in terms of personal for a couple of games either...

I think the worst thing we could possibly do now would be to throw the whole system out of the window and start again with a new formation or make substantial changes in personnel. We all saw how ineffective the 3-5-2/5-3-2 (Whatever it was) system was for us last season and we really don't want to go down that route again. I think for the moment we need as settled a side as possible with the only change being if we can't play Dalsgaard, in which case Clarke will come in at RB, flojo RW and Archibald presumably on the bench. Whilst I'm sure there's the temptation to bring in Mokotjo or Maceachran at the moment we need stability and they can get some game time on Tuesday in the Cup against Norwich or come on later in the game when players are tiring..

In the last ten, we play Shaibu up top, let Maupay, Watkins, Sawyers and Flo behind and go for a final onslaught so we can equalise to the goal we probably let in in the first half :D

I dont think Daalsgard can play even if he wanted to on Saturday. Think the FA rules is something like they are not allowed to play for 10 days after a concussion.

Totally agree. With lots of inexperience in the team we need stability and continuity, especially in the spine. So, stick with Egan and Barbet at the centre of defence and with Woods and Yennaris in the deeper midfield positions. Clarke goes to RB and Jozo comes in on the right side of midfield. Against Villa and apparently against Wednesday in the first half this formation did OK so let's not muck it up with unnecessary changes.

What is concussion ? Is it simply any head injury e.g knocked out or an actual concussion which is a longer term condition?

IMO we currently have two players who are likely to open up a defence with a pass. They are McEachran and Sawyers. We need both to turn possession into chances. IMO McEachran should be accommodated alongside Woods with Yennaris dropping out. Otherwise no change unless Daalsgard can't play in which case Smith will have to decide the best way to use Clarke and Yennaris in mid and full back.

Why do people have Nico at right back when it simply won't happen.

When Colin was injured last season Clarke played right back. Nico is seen as a midfielder and nothing else.

Not really. It's a squad where many players can play other positions. Yennaris may be a safer steady option than Clarke. Clarke may be the better option for his attacking play. Who knows? It's not baffling at all.
