Team vs Scunny

I don't have a clue what team to pick/what the team will be for this one.

A couple of months ago, We were mostly aware of our strongest 11, and 7 or 8 out of our starting 11 were nailed on to start in all the big games.

Now, with Forshaw suspended, I'd say out of our 11, the only shoe in for saturday is Douglas. There is strong comeptition in the GK, Centre Back, Full Back and Midfield with some of our star players a couple of months ago starting to slightly drop their level, whilst benchwarmers impress in their cameos and new loaness impress upon arrival. Furthermore, we've got to keep 4 strikers happy. Add to this the fact we can only play 5 loanees each matchday, and the likes of Reeves and Dallas are knocking on the door, and Uwe has some really tough calls in terms of team selection.

Definately a positive dilemma to have for both saturdays game and the run in, but a dilemma nonetheless. Wouldn't be suprised to see quite a variety of team selections on this thread.

Why is Jake suddenly being suggested after a cameo role vs Chelsea when the game was over.
He is a fine young prospect but I really don't get why anyone would play him over Tom A or Toumani when he hasn't had any first team football for a long while and didn't pull up too many trees when he was out on loan.
For me he's the future but not the present.
What we need now is a nice blend of fearless youth, experience and know how and in my opinion the last thing we need is a youngster learning the game in such important games.

Not 100% sure but saunders tweeted tonight that he was beating harry in a game of table tennis and that he didn't want tire him too much for saturdays game.

Fearless youth could be labelled at jake,we have enough in defence to keep our goal covered what we need is some creativity to supply our strikers.I expect him to be involved in the massive games coming up and the extra bonus is he's ours.

Maybe, just haven't seen enough of him this season to suggest he's suddenly going to come in and change games but I'd be delighted if he proves me wrong.
The question for me is can he make the transition from looking like a world beater in relatively meaningless friendlies to controlling the midfield in competitive games.
Hate the saying but it's a big ask at this stage of the season to expect he to come in and be up to the speed or pressure?

hes shown he can pick the lock in his cameos and he deserves the chance. imo

Sammy has pictures of him playing table tennis on twitter and says he 'doesn't want to wear him out before the big game on Saturday'... Hopefully that means all is well but we shall see!

Giving up speculating tbh. More chance of winning the lottery than guessing a Uwe line-up. I predict that Craig, Douglas and CD and Simon Moore will be starting though;)

I'd go same as Tues apart from Reeves or Logan for Forshaw & Sam for Harry if he's not fit.
Think Scunny will come and park the bus a la Bury so we need our quickest and most creative players for this one imo :wave:

Don't think Hodson has done anything to be dropped and doesn't need resting. I believe Craig's best position is left back. Dave in midfield for some extra creativity seeing as Forshaw is missing. Harry comes in and Saunders deserves another start after Tuesday. He'll only last an hour at which stage Trotta comes on and CD goes wide.

I thought Saunders was fine the other night but I think this team has a bit more natural balance to it. Likewise Moore (L) was good against Crawley but Bidwell can get forward more than Craig down the left so offers us more going forward which we should be looking to do as the homeside today. I'm sticking with Si Moore but want to see improved distribution today.

Shows how good our squad is when I can'd find a place for Hodson (we can only use 5 loanees per game can't we?).
