I think Clarke's performances last season at RB were better than Dalsgaard's so far this season, and he also deserves a start after his performance at Loftus Road. Yennaris and Vibe (if fit) get the nod for me, as I feel their Championship experience will be useful at Villa Park and the international break gives them a chance to re-start the season in their best form.

Agree about width and speed but feel with our current squad we're more effective with 3 centre mids, without the ball, than 2.

You make your selection sound like the end of the world. We have an international RB, we have one of the most promising English LB in the country, along with the danish u19 captain. Clarke has given 100% everytime i see him, and can play multiple positions. And finally you make Watkins sound like a disappointing replacement for Jota.

I would say 80% would agree with that side, I would like to see Watkins get right up with Maupay. With Woods and Moko covering I believe the Defence will look better. Big Big fan of Ryan and Moko is really starting to impress with every game. If we start stopping silly goals at one end, I'm sure the lads up top will gain confidence in front of goal.

I believe the club are pretty determined not to let that happen again, and they've taken proper steps to rectify it and narrow the gap between the first team and youth squads. Everyone says they want their clubs to do this, but so few take steps to make it happen. We should be happy about this.

Also, it has been pretty clear for a while now that Mepham has been earmarked for big things, even though unfortunately I believe he is a secret RaRa lol

With regards to Colin, I haven't seen enough of Dalsgaard to form a good opinion, but based on some reports he is hit or miss at the moment - regardless of being an international RB. Colin, currently, would be the first choice RB if we had a perfectly (fit) good LB to play.
I have not criticised anyone at LB. I asked do we have a fit one. I like Henry, but he is currently injured if not mistaken. Currently we have been playing Colin there but with him gone, who now?
The reference to Clarke is more if Canos is not fit. I really like Clarke and feel he has not been given a proper shot.
And finally, Watkins. He is showing some very good signs. He will come good. BUT.... Would you rather have Jota (before all this speculation turned his head) or Watkins starting (with Watkins coming on if needed)? Only thing that makes it feel easier is this is a similar scenario with Andre Gray and Scott Hogan. Gray was purchased as a backup to Hogan and he took his chance and now look at him. Moving for 2 large sums and still playing PL football. Maybe Watkins will do the same but with Jota having left and not got injured.

I'm glad we are on a similar understanding. As a supporter, i would also want to see a Brentford player who is proud to wear the shirt and doesnt have their head turned at every occasion. I think Dalsgaard will become good, he is new to this country and will need time to settle, similar to 'The General'.

Which is why I was a bit uneasy about the Filip Novak potential signing, if we think these lads are good enough and are to be given a chance then we should see Ilias as Henry's back up (while Field is on loan) .

Don't get why so many want to go back to 4-2-3-1 when been playing well in a 4-3-3. One of the big developments this season has been Sawyers role more defensive without the ball, and how high we're pressing. Imo we'll lose this if Kamo partners Woods in a 4-2-3-1.

I would agree with this selection, but switch Watkins & Canos over, with Canos on the left him and Henry are a force for any right handed defence in this league.
