I didn't realise that bees fans on the whole hated him?

I can't think of anything he's particularly done to us?

Teddy Sheringham

Even if we can afford him(which we can't!!)...I would never accept him....he is Sperz:nono:

Teddy Sheringham

What's that got to do with anything. I thought that we all support Brentford, not Arsenal!

I think many would accept him.

But can you see him accepting £500 p/w (plus a bit extra to be a coach)? Me thinks he can add a couple of noughts onto that elsewhere next season.

Teddy Sheringham

I don't really understand why it is so difficult for others to realise that the whole of footy is screwed for money!!

Spurs cannot afford to keep Sheringham on true cos they can't justify it....

and heaps of clubs are releasing excellent players cos there just isn't any money in football.

The likes of sheringham will end up realising this, and perhaps he does already.....

I am just suggesting that he could hang up his boots in the summer and if he is looking towards a future in management he is going to have to earn his 'spurs' somewhere (sorry awful I know but couldn't resist) !

He might have to accept such a player coach role as the bees to give himself a platform to gain experience for management....this is how pretty much all the most succesful managers started!

Why don't we atleast look into bringing in players in such a manner? rather than rubbishing it because the player is on a fabulous salary in the premiership right now.

He's not going to stop working entirely at the age of 37, and I'm sure he'll want to stay in football!

Teddy Sheringham

Er... reality check here! As much as we all love this little bit of West London, what exactly would entice the Tedster to join the Bees? The money? er... nope
BTW I hear Beckham might be approachable soon - what do you think?

Teddy Sheringham

how about tony adams? he wouldnt want the money, just a chance as a manager, plus he could play for us

Teddy Sheringham

How about me? I have coached some Under 7's, and I am willing to take a paycut

:D

Teddy Sheringham

Ok I'll do it but the deal would have to include a travelling allowance each day :D

he applied last year but was turned down by the lovely noadster!

just for the record I think sheringham has been one of the most consistently good premiership and england players over the last 10 years and has proved you don't need pace to be world class if you have a brain. A true english hero!!

Teddy Sheringham

Doubt that Sheringham would come to us !:D :(
Tony I think would be a good option, if he accept a REASONABLE pay check! Sheringham would without a doubt be coach at Hotspurs anyway...But I saw a documentary on Tony Adams...He's looking for a coaching job...And if he could be a "part" player...It may bee a good idea?!:D:confused:
Anyway...Have anyone of them said anything about comming to us, or is it somthing u have just come up with?

We could have Sheringham for the forwards and Beckham for the midfielders. Maybe Tony Adams could look after the defence?......may as well get Seaman for the goalies while we're at it.

Teddy Sheringham

Nevermind hey?

It was an idea..and a reasonably plausable one...glad to see people have there blinkers on!

Teddy Sheringham

People keep going on about not being able to afford someone or other. However if a player has made millions already and wants to learn the coaching and management trade at a lower level then surely he wouldn't expect to be paid mega bucks.
Graham Rix has just applied for the Southend job and I'm sure he ain't going to expect the salary he got at Chelsea and Portsmouth.

That's my sentiment exactly....the option for many of these people may well be stay in football earning very little or not stay in football at all! Since alot of players have very few other skill base's (some have been full time training since age 14).....any offer might well be taken, especially if you have millions in the bank to fall back on from your playing days!

Say "NO!" to kiddy fiddlers @ GP.

Teddy Sheringham

Doesn't look so silly now does it?

People suggested that he would stay at spurs in a coaching role and actually I think that is what he wanted however Hod forced him out.

Thus now he is looking for a role whereby he can learn the tricks of the trade before returning to oust Hoddle if his last games programme notes and press releases are read between the lines.

I reckon he would take a player coach role at somewhere like Brentford to gain the experience...and if we don't at least explore these options then we definately have no ambition at all!

If you don't ask you don't get...and if he ends up at one of our second division rivals you can't arrange deals in hindsight.

Yes...it might sound ridiculous to some now but then 3-5 years ago the situation surrounding football on the whole would have been a laughable proposition to most of us.

All the money we can save from paying GH could go to Teddy.

Perhaps we should become a registered charity & then then players like Sherringham would come here for next to nothing as it may be tax deductable for them to do some charity work.I still fancy (not literally ) having Fash the Bash here.Perhaps Sherringham could link up with him.Dreams are wonderful things until they become reality.

Do you know how much Teddy is on at Spurs? because I do.

I also know that the man is a prize t*sser, but that's irrelevant because there's ambition and there's a waste of time, and IMO this a waste of time. He's been one of Spurs better players this season, he's rumoured to have offers from Spain, and he'll certainly get offers from Div One - e.g. Millwall. We're so far down the list it's unreal.

Seconded. Met him (and the whole then Spurs team at the time) and he has to be the biggest stuck up **** i've ever met. Spurs had lost 2-1. Sheringham had not played due to injury and he walked into the players lounge and simply shouted "ATTENTION I TOLD YOU THAT WE ONLY WIN WHEN I PLAY, YOU CAN'T WIN WITHOUT ME."

That sounds like him. He's a decent footballer but thinks he's better than Pele with the sex appeal of Steve McQueen - East End scum. Next time I see him on the King's Road, I'll tw*t him (well maybe not, but you get the idea).

Teddy Sheringham

I know he's a ******, again on first hand experience, but he is a good player!

And he will not end up in Spain...trust me....that is just his agent trying to stir up interest. He will end up in London at a club outside the premiership....

as they say if you don't buy a ticket you can't win the lottery!

We all know he's on a phenomenal wage but then all of the 900 professionals who are being freed at the end of this season are on very high wages relative to their actual ability.

If all clubs had such a dismissive attitude and didn't consider NEGOTIATION with such players then all 900 of them will NOT be playing next season!

I think most players would rather pick up a depressed wage rather than no wage at all.

Please inform me if this is not the case!

C'mon cut me some thread here!

When I originally mentioned it everyone thought he was going to stay at Spurs! Two months on and he is looking likely to sign for a mid table 1st Div London club!

Thus in a further 2 months who know's?

Admittedly it will probably never happen I am not denying that but no-one predicted the present nature of football so you cannot discount it and you might as well explore these options.

Teddy Sheringham

Sheringham could raise attendances and get a cut form it. But he wouldn't want that so why go on about him?

Teddy Sheringham

because I'm bored.....

and I'm struggling to get excited about brentford these days....we do need something to shake the place up again!

Teddy Sheringham

Unless you apologise and admit that Sheringham is W@@k compared to Sir Steve, Im going to tell everyone how many games you have been to this season!! ;) lol

Teddy Sheringham

Fair Enough...you got me!

It's pretty difficult from over here though mate!

Okay so I have only been to 5 games this season but I did bring my cousins to the derby county game and thus have two 7 year olds think that Brentford is a viable alternative to supporting Arsenal and Liverpool in the future!

I daren't bring them since as I feared that the games would not be quite as exiting and didn't want to ruin this new found enthusiasm in the young fellas!

Who at the club would we get to fulfill that role? :fishing:

Teddy Sheringham

I'm not sure he's ready to go from £20k a week to £20k a year is he??

Apparently I was a bloody mess on Saturday night....

when it comes to football - I am a dreamer...why not? It helps relieve the stress of the real world!!
