Terry Evans

Hi,

I'm doing some research into former Brentford and Wycombe defender Terry Evans and would appreciate it if anyone who remembers watching him play for the Bees could email me at [email protected] to answer a few questions.

Terry is now a fitness coach at London Wasps, having left a similar post at Wycombe in May.

Used to go to school with one of the Brothers that owned the place. I also used to DJ there quite a bit on Sunday evenings in the 80's.

Its a good laugh in there, you don't get all the attitude that you get in Uxbridge.

That would explain Tel giving Westley a rough ride when we played Wycombe in the Autoglass(?) after Tel went to WW. A right dirty game that was.

never heard of him. was he that little bald left back we had on loan from river plate in 1984/81 season? webbed feet. eye patch. you remember? australian i think he was. six fingers. :sorted:

Contacted me today to see where everyone is meeting for Wembley.

Expect to see Tel at The Green Dragon from 10am!

I met Terry doing his christmas shopping at Uxbridge in December.
He looked right fed up.

I saw big Tel riding his bike through West Drayton a few weeks ago.
I called his name and shouted "You Reds", he laughed and was nearly knocked off
by a bus !! I snuck awaylol

I also saw Big Tel cycling through Yiewsley last week. What a giant on a bike.

I've never quite recovered from the pleated jeans on show at the Gin Palace in Acton one night many years ago.

He actually rates lower than westwing in the fashion stakes and that takes some doing.

Proper Brentford legend mind!

Had a natter with Tel a couple of years ago about a photo of him and myself after that 4-0 agin Foolham.I am carrying the big man on me shoulders off the pitch and somewhere in his loft he has the press photo from the Standard,i think.He said if he could find it then he would pass it on to me.I can tell you he weighs a ton and is one top bloke.A true legend in every sense.

Haven't worn SI for ages, do keep up at the back.

Of course being the first in TW8 to wear that label and years before it got ruined by moo-moos is different to some of your Mersey Shore efforts lol
