The Apology Thread

Post here your apology if you've spent the last week or so slagging off Matthew Benham, MD, the pitch, Mr Devlin, the club, onions, price of the programme, the new shirt, The Hive, the toilets.......did I mention onions?

The Apology Thread

Why would you expect an apology for criticising the state of the pitch? It's the most embarrassing moment in the clubs history.

The Apology Thread

I've not slagged a single thing off about the club, seen enough of it not to carry it on..

The Apology Thread

I'm sorry that the football club I love, cannot provide a satisfactory pitch, at the start of the season.

The Apology Thread

Im sorry that half our team is injured and i ate someones maltesers that were in the fridge at work :(

The Apology Thread

Keep going.

I'm sure it'll get better :)

Have you posted something similar on facebook or twitter?

Sorry for mucking up your apology thread, mate. :lover:

The Apology Thread

Can anyone who applauded Douglas last week contribute?

The Apology Thread

Yes indeed I have :)

Hate you.

Xxxx

Personally I think Murray Jones to replace Dean Holdsworth was our most embarrassing moment.

IMHO :)

I'm sorru for Bananas memory loss...in my view we've had much more embarrassing moments.

2006/07, Rosenior as manager followed by the head of the youth team (Fitzgerald), us getting relegated to the old 4th division, bottom of the old Third.

That was pretty embarrassing.

New thread - Banana's worrying memory loss #ThreadIdea :) !!!

There are plenty of football clubs who make poor managerial/player choices. Most clubs have experienced relegation. I can't think of many clubs who have had to postpone matches in August because they couldn't provide a satisfactory pitch.

I'm with the Grand Master, on this one. :sueme:

Very few people have anything to apologise for - people saying they hope Brentford get thrashed would be one of them.

Very quiet on Facebook tonight. Why are some people on there straight from the final whistle and for the rest of the night to moan when we lose, but go missing when we win? I wouldn't mind if there was was an equalibrium between their moaning and giving credit, but there's never any credit given. Does my head in.

Don't go on facebook then ....:D Its all a crock of sh*t on there anyway.

None of them actually support Brentford, yesterday someone actually asked who Mark Smith was the keeper who's played in pre season friendlies, travelled to Portugal and been with us over a year with the u21s they didn't know who he was, disrespectful to the player that, but then the same person complains about being disrespected every week and ever match day you get someone wanting to know where Hogan is as well. Surely if you support a club and have access to the internet, they can access the club website but they choose to access facebook and comment on the links instead of actually reading the content.

As i said before, i have blocked so many people since being added to the Brentford groups, seems to be some utter bells on there.
Either in the "Will never get it" group or "I don't want to get it" group!
Either way i can't be bothered to read their inane mutterings

Not exclusive to us.
If memory serves, Chelski & Man Utd have had to relay pitches mid season. Probably others too?

My dad wouldnt know who Mark Smith was. No internet, doesnt go to friendlies. But he's been going since the 40's and his fault (!) that I am a Bees fan

Dont think your measure is a good one.

How about people who always leave 5 minutes before the end. Or boo any of our players during a match. Or give a bigger round of applause to JD when he came on then Andre Gray, who we all want to stay

The Apology Thread

Doubters and Matthew Benham to give a hearty rendition of 'We Want The Same Thing' on the karaoke machine in the Stripes bar after the Reading game?

The Apology Thread

Anyone heard from RoyalOakBee lately? Recall he was quick to offer advice on tactics and signings after last Saturday and midweek. Hope he's ok

The Apology Thread

I walked out of the Oxford game - not in the slightest bit apologetic. Still waiting for my money back!

I expect Matthew Benham thought about asking for his money back after the crap he's had from so called fans last week.

Yep. We were in the playoffs for the Premiership last season FFS and now we have had people complaining that a heavily changed team played against Oxford in the Cup, having been told in advance that a heavily changed team would be playing against Oxford in the Cup.

That was just funny.

It didn't cause any games to be postponed.

The Apology Thread

I'm truly sorry for trying to convince my mate that Callum Willock would be a good signing and then denying that we'd ever had that conversation.

The Apology Thread

I apologise for getting one of our directors from work a ticket for the Leeds home game a few seasons back. He was/is a Leeds fan wallowing in past glories.

Look at the bench yesterday. Then look at the big picture & ask yourself what the consequences would have been if any other first team players had got injured in a Cup competition that BFC have clearly demonstrated in the past is not a priority. Then having heard of Jota's injury, on top of Andreas', you must have thought, "now I understand, I no longer want my money back. In fact I'm glad I contributed in some small way to the income side of the accounts because it now looks like our owner will have to splash yet more cash". Top man. Take a bow.

I'm sorry I got there late and missed the first 15 minutes yesterday.

The point I'm making is people who have access to facebook but don't read the content of the articles, not people who have actual limitations like no internet

I don't engage in any debates with them, I don't need the hassle. I do read it though, so I guess I'm the idiot

But this is all divisive behaviour isn't it? Why not accept that due to human nature, we are all going to react in different ways?
I disagree with alot written on Facebook, but I find I can educate and inform using reasoned arguments. I'd rather do something that at least tries to unite fans.

In the same way that some fans will react by being positive, some fans will react by being negative. Human nature eh?
