About Chinese

It seems a lot of issues concerned about China since BFC shirt was sponsored by a Chinese betting company named Samvo. The Chinese characters look fine for me though don't know about the meaning. I tried to find out on samvo.com and forum.samvo.com, but there's no related info I want. Could anybody tell me what "Samvo" means please?

Samvo translated:

sam = 3 , vo = united..

it literally means the 3 harmonies... :)

Seriously, I don't know the answer! I once listened to an online radio of an interview with Samvo managing director about the meaning of its company name, but I can't remember the detail now. I bet you don't know it neither.:nono:

Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed talks are continuing with a Chinese consortium about a summer takeover.
Owls chairman Dave Allen held a meeting with a Chinese party, headed by a multi-millionaire casino owner, before Tuesday's game with Plymouth.

A club spokesman said: "They have been talking again with the chairman. Dialogue is ongoing.

"There are a number of other parties that have been in contact about the possibility of investing money."

Allen, chairman at Hillsborough since 2003, first revealed he was keen to hand over control to someone who could wipe out the club's £26m debts at the turn of the year.

It is of course starting to come out now about Milwall and the redevelopment of the surrounding land. Their investment backers have seen an opportuniity that has nothing to do with football. :fishing:
I'm sure once Brentford are in a nice new stadium investors will be queing up too. The queue at the moment is for GP not the football club. :sad:

Well there are a lot more people living in China though I thought I read once that tax evasion is considered an executable offence! :eek:

Pandas wow Chinese public with appearance

Hong Kong people flocked to Ocean Park yesterday to see Le Le and Ying Ying make their official debut.

The giant pandas were a gift by the central government to Hong Kong to mark the 10th anniversary of the city's return to the motherland.

"It is the perfect way for us to share our joy and excitement with the Hong Kong public," chairman of Ocean Park Allan Zeman said.

Le Le now weighs 75 kilos. He was born on August 8, 2005.
Ying Ying is slightly smaller at 65 kilos. She was born on August 16, 2005.

172 miners missing, feared dead, as a mine collapses in central Beijing

18 people died as a Typhoon struck eastern Beijing

At least 9 people were died and 64 others were injured when molten aluminium spilled from the container in a central Beijing Industrial plant

...and in a strange twist of events, China has returned 272 heart pacemakers imported from the United States after they failed quality inspections. :eek:
