The Paddock

How good is it to have the atmosphere in the Paddock back again?

Really is a twelth (or eleventh) man, and makes me proud to hear yet another opposition manager talk about an 'intimidating atmosphere'.

Yesterday was proof that the old ground can shake with enthusiasm and passion again, long may it continue.. a plea to all my fellow paddock fatties that have disowned the place to come back EVERY game and make GP the cauldron of intimidation like it used to be...

Fair play to Ealing Road and New Road though yesterday too....

Lets make home games home games again...

Can't wait for Aldershot!

The Paddock

Ditto all of the above.

I got my Carnet tickets for the remaining 12 (now 11) games last Tuesday

The Paddock

Was the best atmosphere in a long time yesterday. That's what ultimately saw us through. Let's keep it up for the rest of the season!

The Paddock

Is it true that we have been reported to the FA for the stewards failing to control the crowd in the Paddock at half time??

Where did you hear that?

The Paddock

thats b***ocks if true...that is what happens when you get a ****ing ***** like Attwell refereeing a game, the rest of the first half become very hostile both on and off the pitch after he had dismissed Elder, and all down to his ****ing ridiculous decision.

The Paddock

spot on MD , i m o blue square is about his limit, fast tracking pillocks like that make you wonder when will they ever make the grade ??????????

The Paddock

I was in Ealing Road and didnt hear a peep out of the paddock as usual. I noticed quite a few people in there as well, what a shame as they used to sing when Martin Allen was here!

:confused:I was in ER but did hear the Paddock a little its coming back slowly! Looked more packed in there, and good to see you lot giving the ref load of stick as he came into the tunnel at half time.
Keep improving Paddock you have been dead for the last few years!!

probably because they've all got a little bit more 'fatter' over the past couple of years with nothing to get up and move around for! Now they;re moving, there might be more room! :D

The Paddock

My invitation was only for the existing and ex Paddock boys, the kids can remain on the Ealing Road Terrace with their funny songs:rolleyes: and coin throwing...

I was in ER as well, but I heard the Paddock loud and clear, get your ears checked!. :sorted:

If we relied on the Paddock for atmosphere, we'd have an atmosphere on par with Fulham

The Paddock

First time in a long time the Paddock had any noise and it adds loads to the atmosphere.
Keep it up boys.

Good effort.

Ealing road still winning though.

The Paddock

I sit in New road and for the first time in years the paddock was rocking. It really got the whole ground singing after Stuart tw*ttwell sent of Elder. I remember someone saying Brentford really needs a bit of hate back! I agree. I hope that spark is carried through the rest of the season.

I've been in the paddock for most of this season, but tried the New Road on Saturday. Let me tell you something; you very rarely hear a peep out of the ER (in other parts of the ground).

It might be down to acoustics, but trust me, you're not very loud.

The Paddock

But it still needs improving, I was in the family stand :( and the atmosphere for large parts was crap all around the ground. Even if we go a goal down we need to get behind the team. At least two of us were singing!!!

I remember when the paddock would change ends at H/T, what happened?

!

There was one bloke after the equaliser who was right in McParlane's face screaming "Cheats never Prosper" and urging him to strip the captaincy from Edwards arm for the disgusting manner in which he over reacted and in doing so helped earn a fellow professional player a red card!

He was about 14 1/2 stone and had a skinhead of sorts and so could, by some misguided away manager, be described as intimidating however at no point did he use any swear word of any description. This was noted by a cab driver who was stood directly behind him, as showing remarkable restraint especially as he is renowned for being one f**k short of a Tourrettes diagnosis!

What a story. Have you called Mills and Boon?

The Paddock

Maybe you should get a trampolining citizen of Prague to play him.

The Paddock

I'm tempted to try out the paddock for the Aldershot game. Need someone to take me under their wing though as I don't want to be the saddo on my own. Any takers?

in 35yrs i sat or stood in every inch of GP, and ill tell you when the paddock is in full flow theres no better place to be, hairs on the back of your neck stuff:sorted:

..................is it The Padding or The Paddock??....................

The Paddock

Kempy in other words lightweight ,you have to have the right dress code ie XL, beer gut to match. and a bald head ,and a great big voice box to go with it oh and be able to sing l o l

The Paddock

Kempy, Can you mix it with the likes of Northampton Bee ?
Course you can, see you in there !

The Paddock

I'm hoping and expecting Hate Corner to be back to something like the old days v Aldersh*t and all 3 sides of the ground making it incredibly hostile for visiting players and supporters alike. (Go easy on the WAGs tho Paddock!!!)

The Paddock

have to admit that theres nothing like a packed paddock in full voice:sorted:.........and thats coming from an ex-braemar roader whos been sitting in exile in the new rd for the last few years:sorted:

3 greatest recent braemar atmospheres

southend in the ldv southern final
watford in mid 90's when mahon or asaba scored
sheff weds in play off semi defeat.........surely the winner;)

The Paddock

I normally go in The Family Stand with the kids, but their not really interested, so I may give The Paddock a go in future.

I am only just an XL, but don't have a skinhead, do I still qualify?
