Dont see why this is such a big thing. Yes we are the "bees" but we can also class ourselves as the reds........................ Jeez some love to moan. Even the bloody seats are red, we should have them changed to yellow and black.....

Someone I knew a couple of years ago used to do Brentford and Fulham games sometimes, as different members of her family supported each so liked both clubs. She said she always felt awkward being around the 'Come on you whites!' chant as it felt quite….racially unethical. She knew it wasn't racist or anything but you would feel weird saying it….

Perhaps, in the new stadium, we can have alternating blocks of red and while seats, so the the effect is stripes?

The word 'red' is allowed as long as it is accompanied by the word 'white' in the same sentence.
As for the colour of the seats - the combination of red and white is perfectly acceptable because, as some of you may have noticed, it spells out "THE BEES" in the New Road stand.

i have a tattoo with 'braemar reds' under the badge so it must have been popular before 92
bees always sounds a bit dorky/geeky when singing come on you bees......much better with coyr......thats my two peneth anyway !

Its the one I always sing around the house to annoy our eldest who is still living with us and hates football. I love the poetry and the subtlety of the lyrics never fails to move me. Our badge contains bees, our bloody mascot is a bee, we have always been Bees. Why all of a sudden are we Reds. Liverpool and Utd are Reds. We are BEES and should remain so. They are after all an endangered species and we should be doing all we can to protect them.

No problem with COYR either. Providing the crowd are getting behind the team couldn't really care what we sing. My post was meant to be light hearted so I don't really understand your reaction. I still think the club are known as the Bees in most quarters and as I said Reds are sort of identified with 2 teams that I would not have thought we would want to be seen as being associated with. Lighten up mate, its nearly Christmas

Absolutely not, I agree with you. "Reds" is just too generic. Every bugger calls themselves that (assuming they play in red of course..!). We are The Brentford or we are the Bees every time for me. Plus black and white make up more of the kit colour....so its a bid odd all round.

VOTB has been promoting this 'red' image for years.
First he toured with a Breamar REDS flag all over Europe and then reinforced the message by having the RED label tatooed on his Varnished person (although not easy to see against the mahogany finish).
He is clearly an agent for the Puntney Posers who is trying to Fulhamise our beloved Bees.
Shame on him!
