The Touchline Crew

Anyone remember the Crew back in the late 80's early 90's.....

As an impressionable schoolboy i grew up with these reprobates and earned my stripes at southend in the auto two bob thingy...

WE LOSE....WE ALWAYS LOSE....

The Touchline Crew

WHO ARE THEY,CANT SAY IVE HEARD OF THEM

sorry lower case.

The Touchline Crew

looks like the "touchline crew" were very discreet Purley Bee???!!!!

who remembers the 'Not Well Army' boys from the mid-80's who use to stand in the corner of the wendy house near the new rd corner giving everyone the 'evil eye'.
they bought out a fanzine of their own(a one off but really good!!)around 86 which had reports of the rucks that happened that season(notts c at home springs to mind when the county boys got a real hammering from the Braemar mob(which in those days was pretty tasty)in the enclosure at the start of the game. the county boys were p1ssed off that the Braemar had invaded their side stand at Meadow Lane earlier in the season and tried to even the score but failed miserably!!!!
one geezer had a massive black eye and put on some sunglasses to hide the fact but was taken the p1ss out of by the 50 or so in the enclosure!!!!

great days....................!!

Have Brentford EVER had a mob with a proper name?
</font>

Wasnt it 'Brentford Suicidal' and the 'Hounslow Mentals' at some point?

The Touchline Crew

I rember the late 70's early 80's when we had the New Road. There battle cry was
N, Ee, Double You, Are You Aye Dee - NEW ROAD

They used to go to games in the back of Removal lorries and old army lorries and legend has it entered every single home end between 1977-1979 (including Sheffield Utd/ wednesday/ Rotherham on a Tuesday night.

The Touchline Crew

sorry brentford bob, cant help with that copy of the 'Not Well News'(!!) as its in my loft somewhere buried under 30 million old programmes etc etc - but you never know, one day it might see the light again!!!

ayes b - every single away end - hope you're not exagerating again old boy??!!!!!

hounslow mentals - probably the best mob Brentford will ever see!!

The Touchline Crew

I remember one day at Notts County, probably the day you're talking about.
Some Brentford supporter tried to take one of their stands all on his own. This bloke was only a young lad and not very big but he stood and fought for a good couple of minutes. I don't think the County fans could belive what they were witnessing.
He got a rousing reception from the Bees fan when he was lead out though!

Who remembers Swansea away when that **** walked round the pitch, scaled the away fence and duly offered all the Brentford supporters out on his own? I think someone eventually ****ted him in the end!

It seems that everyone has forgotten the Fleet Casuals. We may be small in numbers but this means we can sneak into rival pubs without getting seen or avoid police escorts. Our name goes before us infact wherever we go trouble seems to follow, Aldershot V Reading for example. I would say that Fleet is home to some of the most dangerous football fans in the country.

The Touchline Crew

Hounslow mentals, best mob the bees have ever had, my brothers mates dad was in that mob, he used to come home with some mad stories to tell of punch ups at away games.

The Touchline Crew

Yep the Hounslow mentals mob during the seventies were just that, the days when brentford had a great away following and the terraces were a battleground.
Reading away in 78 was a good night didnt see it coming did they, right behind them in their own side of the ground. Happy days !

Think I remember that one ;) Sum old fat Welsh copper pulled the young Brentford lad and threatened him with a longer visit than planned in Wales if he raised his hands again that day lol

Ended up with The Jacks attacking Brentford up near their boozer after the game:eek:

A couple of Bees decided to miss the first train back to England and ended up with those same Jacks in Neath having some fun and games with Cardiff :sorted:

Stand up Mr R L, one of my first proper away days

The Touchline Crew

post on july 2001 hounslow mentals can you find out who the geezer is your brothers mates dad as i am now collecting data on mentals activity inside and out of football for a book spencer

Not before he placed a couple of well aimed headbutts into Bees fans faces if I recall correctly, f**king nutter he was.
He must be related to the Northampton fan who did the same thing in the New Road stand in the mid 80's, mind you he was possibly the drunkest bloke I've ever seen in GP he probably thought he was in the away end and got so confused by all the Bees fans around him that he accidentally switched to mindless violence mode. :)

the name Spencer rings an old bell, and by his signature hes a couple of years older than moi

The Touchline Crew

I reckon I'd know you all by face as I would have been a young lad watching you all defend the Oak and things and showing me the way forward.

The Pompey, Sheff Utd and original Fulham days all stick in my head as days/night when I learnt a lot.

You didn't remember me and they are all a couple of years older than me, are you sure you're not remembering a later 'crew'?

I'll never forget the Brimson brothers at Watford getting some!
Eddie Brimson has the cheek to say that Bees never had any fans only Chelsea supporters!
You read their books! What a load of pish!:thetruth:

Who are the Brimson brothers???
Must admit though, Chelsea fans did use to fill up the Royal Oak a bit when Chelsea were away. Of course they were only glory hunting Chelsea fans, and jealous of us proper football fans who supported our local team :fishing:
