The Undisclosed Fee

Does anyone know what this is all about?
Is it a dodgy tax avoidance scheme?
Who are the parties trying to keep the fee amount from?
Why are some transfer fees made known?

Any info would be gratefully received

I think it's a rule about you can only spend a certain amount of the income the club earns and so clubs make undisclosed fees to bypass getting in the sh*t from the FA about spending more than they are allowed, I'm pretty sure that's right but I might be wrong

Presumably its also about taking some of the pressure off of a player? For example if Wigan have spent £4m on AF then their fans are going to have fairly hefty expectations of him right from the outset.
