Six of the starting line up last night started in our last first team game at griffin park in 2020, and many others here nearly as long too.

I'm all for us calling individual players legends, but I think we also need a name to capture this generation of players, many who have grown with us over recent years and will hopefully be around a while longer too

Sorry, I’m drawing a blank here.

Maybe there’s a song in it for the next game?

There are 7 teams we’ve played but haven’t beaten in the PL. Plenty of room for improvement!
In the one and half seasons so far, no team has done the double. Three teams we've only played once, two draws (stats hopefully improve next game), and The Scum lost once (owe them one). I think that leaves Leicester, Newcastle, Spurs and Crystal palace we have drawn with but not beaten. I reckon we can put at least two of those to the sword later in the season, maybe more.

Two Manchester's and Leicester did double vs us, but no one so far this season.

We haven’t played anyone twice this season so there are in theory 5 clubs who could yet do the double over us, Arsenal, Newcastle, Villa, Fulham and Southampton.

I thought the use of “blank” and “song” in my post might have hinted that I did know that.

For almost all of us this is greatest Brentford team in living memory. The fact that the majority have been with us since the Championship is icing on the cake, as we've all shared the heartbreak of the playoff defeat, the euphoria of promotion and some amazing games in the PL both home and away.

Last night came close to the win over Arsenal in terms of emotions. Went to bed watching the scenes and celebrations after the match. Woke up with this morning with them fresh in my mind.

Whatever happens in the future, whether we go on to even more success or slowly fade back to what some people still think is our correct level, we'll always be talking about this team and the incredible times Thomas Frank, his predessors and Matthew Benham have given us.

You reds!!!!! :hat:

Thought as much, but just in case I’d misread you (and clarification for younger viewers).

For many of us, the week that saw us stuff Fulham 4-0, win Div 3 at Peterborough a week later and the celebrations that followed in 1992 was the high point of being a Bees fan. That squad is still remembered fondly to this day.

The current generation has achieved things that we would have thought impossible only a decade ago. Many of them were around at the end of GP, were part of our promotion to the PL and have contributed to victories over Arsenal, City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool etc. They deserve to remembered just as fondly.

Given the globally competitive nature of the PL v prewar First Division and the much greater disparity of means between clubs now I think this is our peak period right now.

Generally, the level of resilience in this team is absolutely amazing.

Am I the only one who thinks our defence looks so much more solid since Claus came in?

We are 2 points behind Liverpool, and 1 point ahead of Chelsea - all 3 teams have played 18 games. It is realistic that we will end up in the Europa League next season if we continue our form and are a little lucky. If I'm dreaming, don't wake me.
