This time last week.....

.....having spent £389 to eat an old boot disguised as a steak, and a creme brulee that the Trades Descriptions Act would have a problem with.

What happened afterwards, I still haven't processed to be honest.

11 days to go until the fixtures come out. 11 days!

Yes, that meat needed a industrial trimmer. Thankfully the veggie option was better.

One week on: still floating. WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE! ?

Are we? No FFP issues stopping us? No late point deductions dropping us to 7th? No accountancy issues that we might be refused promotion?

Have ALL the CHECKS been DONE and all been RATIFIED by the EPL?!!

Where on earth did you go at that price? It's almost double what you would pay at what is always considered the most expensive restaurant in Britain - The Fat Duck.

At least you got a £6 rebate for the coffee after begging for my contribution.:)

I’m assuming hospitality at Wembley.

I had pre-match steak in the Volunteer in Baker St which was not bad at all for £17
 

This time last week.....

This time last week I was sat in my garden with my Pompey supporting neighbour ( I live in Hampshire, it’s an occupational hazard) who had the decency to knock on my door with a few beers to pay tribute to our historic promotion. We got bladdered and he had some sage words about what it’s like when your team go up into the Prem. top night. Top bloke. They aren’t all nutters. Most but not all.

This time last week I had just left Boxpark out of my face. It was a long and traumatic journey home that ended with a black cab home from Vauxhall (ouch and then some) and a promise to the driver that my son wouldn’t be sick. He wasn’t and it was an end to a brilliant day..

Honestly this time last week I have no recollection although I know I was in Chiswick drinking loads but didn't I realise I posted on here at all until a few days later and at 5am ish on Sunday morning my (great) Uber driver had to wake me up as I fell asleep in his car.

I was recovering in the Griffin after taking about 4 hours to get back from Wembley. Thanks TFL. Absolute garbage!!
 

This time last week.....

Everything after 7 p.m. on Saturday is a total blank to me. My friends, and the barstaff, are gleefully filling me in on the details. Drinks were on me yesterday for getting me home alive and with no warrants out for my arrest.

But the real star of the night was my phone, for surviving an hour underwater. It's an Umidigi, to answer a frequent question.
