Wash your mouth out, as my mother used to say!Cos Bloom is a far better chairman than MB?
Sigh. Very tedious.Cos Bloom is a far better chairman than MB?
Didn't see that coming. Apart from everything I bitch about, MB is the most, considered and progressive club owner in the prem. Without him and Rico Henry we, wouldn't have the success we are enjoying .Cos Bloom is a far better chairman than MB?
I think Rico is pretty low down the order when considering individual input into the success of BFC.Didn't see that coming. Apart from everything I bitch about, MB is the most, considered and progressive club owner in the prem. Without him and Rico Henry we, wouldn't have the success we are enjoying .
I think Rico would be a very long way down the list of club employees who had any influence on BFC strategy contributing to overall success.Didn't see that coming. Apart from everything I bitch about, MB is the most, considered and progressive club owner in the prem. Without him and Rico Henry we, wouldn't have the success we are enjoying .
By the time Liverpool come in for TF, Potter will be out of a job at Chelsea and will want to come to us....I don’t think (tempting fate!) TF will be on the merry go round this time and Brighton would be a largely sideways move even if they’re a few years ahead of us in a similar project. But, if Potter makes a success of it at Chelsea and TF continues to take us upwards it would make it more likely that in the future a big 6 club looking at building a structure for the long term would take the idea of hiring him much more seriously. Even more so if Howe also succeeds in getting Newcastle into the top 6.
Or Tut Phoenix.By the time Liverpool come in for TF, Potter will be out of a job at Chelsea and will want to come to us....
Imagine...
We could have a Potter everywhere...
A Potter on the pitch
A Potter in the technical area
A Potter in the stands...
We can then also rename our ground to The Potter Community Stadium to be fully potteridged.
Hopefully, neither will happen.I don’t think (tempting fate!) Yeah but even with the animosity between the chairmen, deals have still happened right (eg Maupay)? However I agree with the sentiments of the posts here, would be a marginally upwards, sideways move and I don’t really think it’s likely.Am I right in thinking the poaching club need to ask permission from their poachees to approach their manager? If so, and Brighton play by the rules, Thomas's departure would seem unlikely. And I'd love to tap the phone call.
Glad they went for Potter not TF.
I think TF enjoys the challenge of getting young players and bringing them on. He also is totally sold on the ethos of the club. He appreciates the fans as much as we appreciate him. I think the only job that would tempt him away from Brentford is the Danish National team manager role ?Maybe they did and he didn't return the call. Too busy doing sensational stuff.
If Chelsea had come in, he would have gone. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.I think TF enjoys the challenge of getting young players and bringing them on. I wondered about him, would be a typical Brentford move. What has happened to Kevin O'Connor many on here used to push for him. I have not seen him about for ages?I reckon Justin Cochrane is being groomed to succeed if or when Thomas eventually leaves for bigger things.
He's on the pitch before every game.I wondered about him, would be a typical Brentford move. What has happened to Kevin O'Connor many on here used to push for him. I have not seen him about for ages?
and afterwards tooHe's on the pitch before every game.
Bloody hell, they've got him using a pitch fork now. He will be in the bloody samosa kiosk nextand afterwards too
Right in front of me then! No wonder I have to read GPG when I get home to see what happened during the game. I will look out for him v Arsenal. He's on the pitch before every game.
You can never know, but I have a feeling that Thomas would not leave unless something extra ordinary comes up.
.
agree. even jimmy sirrell (anyone under 65 look him up!) left us for a few quid more.Only a matter of time until a bigger club/project take him up. Money is God in football.
Money would seem to be God in every walk of 21st century life ?Only a matter of time until a bigger club/project take him up. Money is God in football.
Not much choice if you want to pay your gas and electric bills.Money would seem to be God in every walk of 21st century life ?
ErmNot much choice if you want to pay your gas and electric bills.
Tongue in cheek Billy, although if I could find someone to give me a better pension than Gov.co.uk I would be off like a shot.Erm
Okay ?![]()
If he survives the next 4 games, I think he overtakes Perryman to become the 5th longest serving Bees supremo.
In terms of no. of games.
Curtis
Mcdonald
Webb
Callaghan
Are I think the top 4.
Pre Match Arsenal
Maybe they'll fix it when they revamp the training ground.why don't they get sound proof rooms to have these conferences in. it's a let down.
If only he had a voice like Brian Blessed, he'd be perfect......We are so lucky to have such an articulate, thoughtful head coach.
Pre Match Arsenal
It's quite simple isn't it...when the suns out it's in the eyes of the keeper down at the east stand goalWhat a mangement team we have. I heard on one of yesterday's football shows that before the Man Utd game they had someone studying where and when the sun would be in the oppo's keeper vision before the Man Utd game and how we could use that.
. Anyone know who our astronomer/astrologist is?
Russell Grant is your Astrologer. An old Brentford fan often seen at GP in the 80s-90s.
Correct. When Thomas moves on, it will be upwards. Not to a relegation candidate, with no cash to spend and championship footballUntil this season would have appeared to be a good move.
