Your implication that he is a left back playing out of position "Hickey would be the exception as we didn't come up with a Right Back." is definitely wrong.
Not sure you two are on the same wavelength. Magic means we didn’t have a right back at the start of last season as Damsgaard had departed. Therefore Hickey is the only player we have since bought that he would have in his first eleven if everyone was fit. Then you tell him Hickey is a right back and then for some reason he argues that he isn’t ?.

I think we agreed he can play both sides. TF and the management team felt his best position for the team was RB. I was stating in recent times he had been playing mainly as a left back.

Thank you Thomas

His determination/spirit/character is reflected in this team. He respects but doesn’t fear and that was on full display today. Fantastic job. Enjoy your glass of red tonight, Thomas. You and all at the club deserve it.

Thought the players let him down in the week, today on the other hand was from a different galaxy.

I never liked the idea of a winter World Cup, particularly when hosted on the back of a wholly corrupt bidding process where the hosts basically bought it. But looking at our injury list, it couldn’t come at a better time. I think next week we have to regard as a free hit much is it pains me to say so, and the focus should be on goal difference and keeping it relatively tight if that’s even possible with the players we have available at our disposal right now. And then hopefully come Christmas. We can have the majority of the first team squad available although I don’t we’re going to see much more of Ajer this season.
Following on from my earlier predictions about today, I am now available to provide your lottery numbers.

I do believe that TF last week got it tactically wrong reverting to 3 centre backs in the last 10 minutes but today he got it right. I think what he did really well is that he provided a belief to the side that they could get something out of the game. That is hard when facing one of the best club football teams in the world. The first 15 minutes we could/ should have been at least 2-0 up.

The Subs today were absolutely superb. JDS, Wissa, CN all brilliant. The first two combined brilliantly for Ivan's winner. The tactics today were spot on and executed brilliantly by a committed and focused bunch of players who obviously have unswerving trust and dedication to the Head Coach.

His words as quoted in the Guardian today post match are so well Pitched. The reverence and welfare protection of Toney , then complimented in tandem by Toney talking about his motivation coming from the team and fans around him. Betting BS headlines be damned. PMA wins the day. Huzzah!

You obviously haven’t been to a school sports day recently ?
A good few years ago we entered our decrepit 18 year old Westie into the local RSPCA scruffy dog show for rescue dogs (we got her from them when she was 10). She won a rosette which simply said 'well done'. She's long gone now but that's one of our treasured possessions.

In one of the post match interviews it was mentioned that by beating Man City we preserved our record of most consecutive home wins. Is this still valid ?

I think it’s the winning every home league game in one season record - 1929/30 21 home wins ???

Outwitting Pep will have given him an extra glass of red last night.

Guardiola is a benchmark of the best of the best, to tactically take him down is brilliant management.

I know without the players Thomas can do little, but without a plan the team are just a bunch of individuals.

Thomas’ finest tactical game in 200 plus Brentford games yesterday and he’s had some pretty good ones in those 200 games.

A good team are nothing without a good coach we are lucky we have both.

TF must take great credit for turning the nonsense about second season syndrome on its head. 4 teams did the double over us last season, Man City, Man Utd, Brighton and Leicester. We’ve picked up 3 wins and a draw against these teams. It seems to be the case that rather than other teams ‘working us out’, the opposite has happened and TF and his coaching team have learned more than our opponents have from our previous meetings.

Nurse! Nurse! The scousers have stopped throwing their own players shirts back on to the pitch and paused booing their own team, and think Thomas Frank might go to their toxic, pathetic club. Send drugs now. Please.

Absolutely delusional fanbase. They still think they're big 6! You're in a relegation battle! Guess we should be wary in case he gets poached by a top club like Sunderland or Blackburn rovers too

You won't find me doing Thomas down, but it's my impression that no-one at the club believes in SSS so he just has to go along with that.

I have noticed over thyears his results get better against managers. I don't know who he hasn't improved against. It would be interesting to know. He beat Warnock, Cooper, chap in charge of Chelsea. Got a point against Potter and Rodgers. I genuinely believe we have the best coach in prem.

Given how embarrassingly bad Denmark were in the World Cup, I am guessing they will replace the head coach. Hopefully not with a young Danish coach overachieving in the best league in the world…
