Three Games

In our next three games, we have two home matches and one away. After that, we have a tough November with Bradford, Macclesfield and Peterborough away and Darlington at home, It is quite conceivable therefore that we could get 0 points in November.

Unless we pick up a minimum of six points from the next three games, Butcher should be considering his position because it is very possible that we will be bottom two by December unless we get something in October

The good news is that December then looks easier on paper but if we go towards Christmas with a long winless run behind us, we'll find it difficult to get out of the sh*t we'll end up in.

Three Games

i feel a de ja vu feeling coming on..................................

i wonder if the ones who wanted to give LR till xmas last season, feel that TB should have the same length of time to get it right this season? If so, we're doomed.

and none of your/Hampton Bees (??) idea of a fighting fund either !!!

Three Games

Les,the easy looking games at the mo will be defeats too.

I really ( stoopid) dont think this team is that bad,the tictacs are appalling,Downes and Rosenior, and the latter of MA reign are all much a similar pattern

Not a chance of that on my part.

Three Games

Come on Farnham Bee, it's about time you posted your predictor calculator up so we can see where we'll end up come May.
We will only have to enter about 17,000 predictions at this stage of the season.

Three Games

............possibly the management are looking at easy games and becoming complacent..............

Three Games

I seriously feel another Kingstonian coming on.
After October the 27th, the draw for the 1st round of the FA Cup will be made and Butcher needs a good cup run, if he has any chance of getting more money to buy more **** players.

Three Games

They'd better pick up come Christmas, my M-i-L's coming over to watch us against Chester (pending dumping out of the cup by Staines Town before then) and I want her to at least understand why anyone in their right mind would come and watch us. Them, sorry.
For a cup run to be monetarily effective we need to get into the 4th round at least, 5th round preferable. Sadly this squad I don't think can get anywhere near MA's squad. We'd lose to them by 3 or 4 at least. No chance of dumping Derby County out. I think what we can best hope for is a Saturday away at Chelsea or Arsenal for gate purposes. I'm hoping we don't get a home draw if we make the 3rd round.

And what happens if he is happy to stay and pick up his salary for his contract?? Do we suddenly find money to pay him off??

We need something to happen NOW not in December, by december we will be sitting bottom with a points difference of i reckon 6 points if we keep going the way we are now!!

BUTCHER OUT BUTCHER OUT BUTCHER OUT

Three Games

..........its a good enough base to start with...........onwards and upwards.............

Three Games

We have got 5 points from those 3 games now we will get at least one at sadford next week cos like i said before a ball was kicked this season they are cack nothing but a set of pikeys they done it again yesterday only place they going is blue star league

Three Games

.................sorry, but it's a bit like now saying 22nd place in the League at the end of the season will do, and then saying, after the last ball has been kicked at season end, 23rd was only one place away.........no disrespect, Les

It's a bit like saying 6 points would have been ideal but 5 points is ok.

 .................but it wasn't what you had said, which was "a minimum requirement"..................so finishing the season in 22nd place would be a 'minimum requirement', but 23rd would be OK?............I rather think not, a whole league of difference...............

Three Games

5 points out of 9 without losing is a lot better than bugger all out of 9 which is what we got out of the previous three against Stockport, Dagenham and Hereford. Give them a bloody chance.

...................VTG, you've misunderstood........I'm not having a go at the team, I'm just asking Les B that as he thought that six points out of nine was a minimum requirement, and as we only got five, does he still think that that is the case.....apparently not..........to which I added the hypothetical scenario that if we finish the season in 23rd position, on the basis of Les B's viewpoint, that would be just about as good as 22nd, which it is patently not.........is all..........nothing to get steamed up about............

BTW has anyone noticed I've cut out the !%&"ing swearing just lately........

Three Games

I predict 5 points from our next 3 games.

1 v Bradford (GolferBee's foot trembles uncontrollably)
1 v Macclesfield (GolferBee's head turns purple, and his nose runs constantly)
lose v Luton (GolferBee's left arm straightens and affixes itself in a rigamortis state, at 45 degrees, his hair turns white and his shoes wont fit)
3 v Darlo (GolferBee stands down to DEFCON 4 - BUTCHER OUT !)

Three Games

I reakon 4 points.

Win at Bradford

Loss at Macclesfield

Draw with Darlington

I'm with WisBee on this one. Setting arbitary point targets is, well, pointless. As are "must win" games.

Three Games

Bradford is must for 3 points, they are struggling and have a sh*te home record coupled with the fact that we really owe them one.

Three Games

Lots of draws in this division, so every win is a real bonus. Still no point in setting targets.

Three Games

We should TARGET to win every game regardless

I hope the coaching staff and players think that

Three Games

I mean from the point of the 4-1 and the two dives for late penalties that have played a big part in messing up the last 2 seasons. Every game is a must win but they usually turn into must not lose games.

It was the juxtaposition of the posts I found amusing :sneakoff:

IMHO a team looking to be top ten would get at least four points from these two games given an improved run and where Bradford and Macclesfield are

They are even worse at a scoring than we are, and they no longer have Windass. :bound:

In all competitions 11 from the last 12 games. We've got 13 from the last 12. :computer:

4 - 3 to them then ...

gone are the days when we tonk them 6-0 with a Marcus Gayle rocket......

It is nearly Fireworks night.......what about a sparkler from Sammy Moore, or a damb squib from Charlie Ide

Have we really got to the stage where a win is a 'bonus'?? It does rather depress me that so many people seem to be delighted that we managed to scrape a 1-0 win at home against the team at the bottom of the entire league.. I mean, I know our expectations have dropped somewhat over the last couple of years, but if they've dropped that low then we're never going to get anywhere.... :(

Don't be a fool.  If lots of others are drawing, then winning a game on any said day is bonus, when comparing to what others have done. 3 points being better than 1. get it?

100% with you on that one old son

A 1-0 win it might have been but I would hardly say "scraped" was an accurate description.

Three Games

"Scraped" another close win against a bottom of the table side again I see.

TB for manager of the month for November...you heard it here first!!

well unless you havent realised we were getting pretty close to the bottom of the league ourselves... confidence has been at a premium lately. Bradford havent won in ages and would have been desperate for a win. 3 points today with what I understand to be a good performance will only boost our confidence and help us beat stronger teams. A win at macclesfield should now be probable... and ill take atleast a draw against darlington and peterborough. if we do that we'll have got through a potentially difficult november without losing.
maybe the club has fallen further than we thought, and it hurts to admit that, and maybe we do need to 'scrape' wins against the bottom of the table teams.. but unless we do that, were only going one way.. down!
Lets celebrate the win, and look forward to the next match... enough pessimism already!

Three Games

TB is the man.
We are going up.
Why,because we are getting a settled side.
If only Shakes could pass the ball.
