Ticket prices

There will be three local sides in the Championship next season.

Last time QPR were there they were knocking out nearly every home game on Groupon at around £14.50.

Fulham will more than likely have spare seats to shift too.

I hope the price gougers who decided to "simplify" Brentford season ticket prices bear this in mind.

Otherwise they may end up with more unsold tickets than they anticipate.

A large amount of extra tickets will be sold to people with no attachment to a particular club.

West Ham could do well if their prices are low to fill their new stadium.

One good season should not encourage Brentford to believe they can charge what they like.

they haven't our prices are fair imho, an extra few quid on season t pricesto watch a team worth god knowsa how many millions

Can't see MB wanting to price people out what with wanting to grow the fan base ready for the new stadium. Too much work is going in to attracting the next generation of supporters to do that. Another good start will surely see non ST holders and non members struggle to get tickets though. **** me, couldn't give tickets away a few seasons ago.

Its not worth me getting an ST nowadays as I miss so many games due to work. But after being an x-ST holder and pretty damn regular attendee since the 70's, I can't explain the feeling of managing to get a ticket last season. Actual excitement of securing tickets for me and my boy. Coming to a packed GP to watch football and footballers of an ilk I have never seen there before in all my time. I also can't explain the pride in the club and appreciation I feel towards MB. Many times last season my boy (who has just fully got the Bee bug aged 8) had to lift his jaw off the floor, Jota being a main culprit but all of them at times caused this to happen. I had a 'senior moment' after one game that made me feel my full 43 years. I was walking out with my boy after a game (think it was Rotherham). As we passed the memorial plaques dedicated to my nan and grandad (who 1st took me) my boy was buzzing about the Pritch 360 he had just seen and Butts worldie at the end which secured the 1-0 win. It all felt very strange and mildly emotional. I think my grandparents would even have smiled at my boy coming home singing 'sh*tting on the Fulham once again' and getting me in all kind of sh*t with the wife after our trip to the Cottage (sorry to repeat that as mentioned in other posts).
I've gone way off thread but what I'm trying to say is its such a good place to be when a ticket has value other than the cost of purchase.

The tickets that go on groupon and the like are normally seats in the corner without a decent view. We were already doing this for a lot of games last season (through Sky I think) where you could buy those seats at a reduced rate.

So you're pretty much asking will the club being something it already does.

Brentford are already saying I cannot have senior discounts I have had for several years.

I suspect the next move will be to jack up ticket prices.

It was bad enough buying tickets without knowing the sight lines. Safer to go in Ealing Road and stand at the back.

I asked a few season ticket holders last season if they knew what they were paying for and many did not.

I can play golf for nothing on Saturdays anyway.

If Brentford management want to start taking the mickey on prices I have other options.

You can go to club pre season and go in ground to choose view. Why would you buy a st without knowing your view first

I am simply dumbfounded.

They've not jacked up prices, they've simply moved the senior age up to probably a more fair age anyway.

QPR and Fulham are not better value.

You get to choose your seat.

Apparently this year's Membership details are announced next week. Will there be a hike on last year's £20? Yes we will be looking at great football again, hopefully, but are these stealth increases?
Did think £17/19 last year in the Braemar was a bargain. Don't misunderstand me, this isn't a complaint because I can afford and am happy to pay.
Some others may not be in the same boat.

The average London wage is pretty high and almost no one retires by age 60.

Existing ST holders keep the discount but I don't think it's unfair that new ST holders have to pay full whack for an extra 5 years.

Er, I don't live in London. 90 mile round trip to get to GP. But once again I'm not complaining, just wondering? One year left to retirement age but need to work for another three years..... if that is relevant.
PS who is the troll?

At least they could give Brook Road back to home fans.

I know not everyone does live in London, but a vast vast majority of the buyers in our market will work in or just outside London, so you can't blame the club for targeting the masses.

Re another thread, baseball cap is a practical solution and not a fashion statement. Does the ER hold more than Wendy? If so home areas would be reduced. Should we allow this to happen?

I think last seasons most expensive ticket was about £27-28 . I spoke to someone in the ticket office a while ago and they told me they would probably going to be about £30 or maybe a bit more for category A game . I would imagine due to supply and demand our prices for this season will be more expensive than fulhams . For the casual football fan coming to London for the weekend ,price wise and ease of getting tickets Fulham maybe the easier option. I hope not as I love seeing a group of foreign lads getting all excited about buying a bees scarf in the club shop, also don't want Fulham attracting new fans , the less of them the better .

I don't blame the club for maximising revenue opportunities it can't all come out of MB's pocket. Still don't 'buy' the reason for realignment of seniors age.

If you don't like it, don't go, there will come a time where I won't be able to afford it, so be it. But don't ever say it's greed.

Too expensive and you can be sure I will not go.

However, I do not want emails when demand falls off and prices have to go back down again.

If you had a Seniors season ticket last year then you get it this year at the " Senior rate" even if below 65. I have already done so

Therefore you have either misread or did not have a seniors season ticket last year as under 60

If you had not qualified for the senior rate last season but have now reached 60 then yes I agree it's unfortunate but if as you say you have had the discount for many years then you are still entitled to it

^ I bought tickets on the day at senior rates. I had a members card. So getting tickets was not a problem.

No senior rates for those over 60 but under 65 on individual tickets - as far as I am aware.

BFC offer really good value, my son's s/t went from £30 to £90 this year and that's still amazing value so I didn't think twice about it. For all your negativity its easy for you to also overlook all the deals that BFC offer during a season particularly for lower profile games. Capital One cup has reduced prices and probably 3 or 4 league games will have a deal involved (especially given the amount of Tuesday home games as Devlin alluded to in his recent interview).
