Tickets Tottenham (A)

We did try again at 2. Both times it froze at check out stage. By the time we could get back on it was too late.
It froze before you had started entering card detail? If not, when please?

Had the points and yet again website let us down!
Mine was in progress for 45 minutes.
I had to call the ticket office more times than I know and got there in the end.
From start to finish an hour.
For two tickets.
Sorry to hear you had issues out of your control.

In other news the ticketing site is offering the option for Newcastle tickets ?

I had similar issues but mine were related to authorisation from a mobile banking app ?

True and I do think it's best to open an opportunity for as many fans as possible however there is still a huge gap from 1500 TAPs to those over 3000 for example who aren't quite at 3350. I guess with supply and demand there would never be a perfect solution.
If you have 3350+TAP's it would appear you have almost a guaranteed ticket for away games, whereas the 1500+ window is a bit more of a fastest finger scramble. This second window does give some of the lower TAPers a chance to move up the ladder otherwise they'd have little chance of doing so. Obviously the flip side is as been said higher TAPers in that window do miss out.

First experience of the website f*ckups today. All plain sailing up till now. Had to wait till today to buy (payday) so on at 8:30 this morning to buy our 3. Website froze, couldn’t pay and then closed at 9. Boy went back on at 2, all in basket then froze. Got back on, sold out!! FFS!!

Ditto. Gutted.

Despite having enough TAPs to purchase in the first round myself I waited to buy with my brother in law who was 14 TAPs short, only to get caught up and work and then to sell out in 45 minutes!

What’s worse is a Spurs mate has already bought his ticket for the home end as we were planning to make a day of it.

What’s the chance of any becoming available again? Do some ever get returned to the club if people can’t go?

Yes, considering some Newcastle ones have just appeared.

Tottenham (A)

Ahhhh, yes. I would avoid using saved card details, that does seem a bit dicey. Some other reported similar.
I managed to use a saved card today for Spurs tickets without issue.

Seems like others have had a problem though so I’ll probably avoid in the future.

You may have seen some Newcastle tickets re-appeared today so yes it is possible. there was less than an hour's warning.
The club Twitter seems to be the best source of warning on this.

Even if you have no interest in using Twitter you can still set up an account, then follow @BrentfordFC, then turn on alerts on your smart device. Then you'll get a message when they tweet with ticket news, which should include a warning on additional sales.

Thanks, I will email the club as well.

Not sure of the rules on this but if anyone ends up with spares please drop me a message!

TBH if I was running the TO and received your email, I'd reply along the lines of

Hi m4e, if more tickets become available they'll be announced on our Twitter page. Make sure you follow us for this and all the latest Bees news

See if you get anything more useful

Fans with over 3000 taps who don’t quite make the 1st window really shouldn’t be fighting for tickets with people who have
1500 taps IMO
Any threshold will do this. If the second window were to be set at 3000 you’d have people with 2999 competing with people who have <100 as the third window is for all STs. At least those with 1500 have a pretty substantial history of going to games

I am unable to go this game but disagree. High taps is often a sign of longevity of support but there are plenty of newer and younger engaged fans on lower taps…seems to me the club are generally managing this issue well. We can’t live forever!

Got mine bang on 2pm, used a saved card on the mobile website with no issue other than one moment where it looked like the site had frozen but I let it come to its senses and all was well.

Don’t forget, as the season goes on the threshold might be higher. I’ve got tickets for every away game despite being in the second window.

If you’re not guaranteed a ticket in the first window then it doesn’t really matter how many TAPs you or others have - it’s a race to purchase.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and hazard a completely random guess that you have somewhere between 1800 and 3,349 TAP points? ?

Yes, it's like the Frequent Flyer forums I am on where everyone with the same TAPs points as me should get EVERYTHING, but 1 point less should have NOTHING.

Windows open when I’ve got work meetings is a tad frustrating. Looks like posh seats for me as only option.

If that is consistently happening you might want to find an F&F to buy for you.

Glad it worked for someone.
No issues till today.

I won the lottery last week but unfortunately I was out by 1 number on all 6 lines. ?

I should be a euro millionaire.

Just waiting on a Spurs mate to let me know his position as he always brought two for years and as it’s a Thursday might have a spare. Although I prefer two. As it’s a school night my son may have to miss out.?

Tottenham (A)

Or a bad day to have gone up to Burnley early. Ticket missed.

My fault. I was eligible straight away but was waiting for my partners TAPs threshold to be reached.
I have about 4000 TAPS but almost missed it because I waited for my mate to be eligible (he had 2800+ TAP).

He hadn’t fully committed to going either (always decides on the spot). Will be more selfish next time - I was very close to missing out but wanted to go with him!

next time I’ll just buy and sit on my own I think

The ‘race to purchase’ doesn’t feel right to me- especially at the time of day they go on sale. Its all good for those (including me) that have jobs which mean they’re at a computer all day but if you don’t, say a builder for example, you’re pretty much screwed. Wonder if 8pm would be a fairer time. Or, run a ballot for the 2nd tranch of tickets, in this case, for anyone with between 1,500 and and 3,349 TAPs say.

Almost everyone has a smart phone these days, they don’t need a computer.

I stop working at 5 to 2 and log in.
A pain in the butt today as my "important phone call" took a while.
Otherwise "my important phone call" takes 2 minutes.

They do it to have a cigarette, a coffee or a piss so yes.
It doesn’t work like that but it’s beside the point - it was just one example of a job where the ‘fastest finger first’ thing feels a bit unbalanced. Same for people that work in shops and many other environments.

There’ll always be someone working when tickets go on sale but an evening time would at least, I suspect, limit that quite substantially. i.e. making it a bit fairer.

To be fair you have a point mate. It's usually impossible for me to stop in my job although I work long days so no time really suits me, I just have to time my break for 2pm or hope it's my day off when away tickets are on sale.

It works exactly like that. Set an alarm for 5 to 2 and go for a sh*t.

Could they not have a system whereby you register an interest in going to the game and they allocate them to whoever has the most TAP's, in descending order, until they're all gone?

Saves feckin about with the fastest finger first/connection freezing/card rejected mullarkey.

Or am I missing something obvious? Doh!
