I like Schade, I like Damsgaard and I like KLP. How long though until they are "settled" and we see the best of them? ?
it was disappointing Damsgaard didn't bury his chance into the back of the net. It would have changed the whole complexion of the game. It may have been a lack of composure looking for his first goal or lack of quality.I think KLP is ready to go now judging by pre season and I think will start if/when we play 433.
Schade is still a kid and will need more time and patience.
Damsgaard is the one that needs to turn the flashes of brilliance into something more consistent.
Specifically, lots of bodies but Christian and Mathias only ones to shine. VJ dependable but Josh, Frank, Shandon, Mikkel.....are they good enough if we are to progress to next level?Midfield.
good point, i looked at the subs both teams had to offer and felt we had the stronger offensive players but they made very little impactWhy did our subs add so little energy when coming on. Previously the subs have added some energy and changed the outcome of some games but not yesterday.
I thought Shandon made a good impact. Developing into more a creative 6 than an attacking 8good point, i looked at the subs both teams had to offer and felt we had the stronger offensive players but they made very little impact
I thought Shandon did okay but didn't seem to impact the game much. I just thought they all had little impact and we seemed to sit deeper and deeper as the match went on.I thought Shandon made a good impact. Developing into more a creative 6 than an attacking 8
Very generous there can’t remember him doing much.I thought Shandon made a good impact. Developing into more a creative 6 than an attacking 8
Who?Did anyone see Philip Schofield @ the Weir Bar in Brentford yesterday?
Nah but old for him for me to be seeing himDid anyone see Philip Schofield @ the Weir Bar in Brentford yesterday?
We need our best players like MJ to be fit to pass out, and give ourselves a breather that way. I think we have to accept we will concede a lot more and win many fewer games without Toney's hold up play - a top, top team (ie. not Tottenham) would have punished us with the amount of possession we allowed. KLP could have a big role to play running channels this season. How do we stop pressure mounting when in the low block?
It was discussed last season, but without Ivan we can struggle to get out and relieve pressure, with the ball just coming at us phase after phase.
Jensen being on the pitch doesn't matter if both Wissa & Mbuemo are coming deep, alongside the fact neither of them are great in the air or with their backs to goal (IMHO).We need our best players like MJ to be fit to pass out, and give ourselves a breather that way. Agreed on Wissa and Bryan, but I still think we need MJ there to help keep the ball amongst the defence and CMs. Otherwise we lose it both going long and playing shortJensen being on the pitch doesn't matter if both Wissa & Mbuemo are coming deep, alongside the fact neither of them are great in the air or with their backs to goal (IMHO).
Bryan's hold up play vs Spurs was excellent I thought - didn't think he had it in himJensen being on the pitch doesn't matter if both Wissa & Mbuemo are coming deep, alongside the fact neither of them are great in the air or with their backs to goal (IMHO).
dovetailed really nicely with henry and the runners from midfield, like for the penalty. will always struggle in the air though, i miss Toney's flick ons!Bryan's hold up play vs Spurs was excellent I thought - didn't think he had it in him
