Tranmere fan here

Hiya all,

Tranmere fan here,

Not sure if right place to put so apologies if not

Just wanted to say looking forward ( well to going to Brentford not the game! ) to playing you on Tuesday

We are truly terrible so I have no idea why I am doing this to myself :D

Stevenage today could have won by 6 or 7 against us and apart from Jason Koumas and Ryan Lowe we are very ordinary

To be honest if you do not win by 4 or 5 I will take that as a good result

Anyway best of luck for the season and hope you get promotion and if you see a Tranmere fan at the end of the game in tears and looking at routes to Dagenham and AFC Wimbledon for next season come and say hello

Cheers, your change in fortunes has been great in the last year or so, what's happened?

Hello mate, your welcome on here. I think we should beat you, but I don't believe that we will wallop you. Any best of luck to you after Tuesday.

Thanks all,

I think the problem for us as fans is last season it was going so well and we went from having best form in league pre Christmas to the worst 12 month record in the football league! Thats quite a come down

Mix that in with a chairman who is desperate to sell the club, 2 players who are being investigated for taking bookings and a manager who is suspended for allegedly betting on us to lose in the cup against Bolton - shocking I know! and we are very glum at the moment

Don't get me wrong if by some miracle we get a win on Tuesday I will be delighted but I really cannot see it

Think there will be about 200 or so of us who have travelled down, may be more as know a group are leaving at 5.30am and making a day of it and we do have a number of exiles but being on a Tuesday night does not help really with that

For the person who asked about Koumas he is 34 but had a period of 3 years out the game, Lowe is a similar age but without him we would be down no question about it

Enjoy your trip lad. If you like an ale, go to the Magpie and Crown on the high street. But as others will state you are welcome in any boozer

Always liked the Tranmere fans and your stewards at your ground are a great laugh. Couldn't believe how you dropped like a stone last season, was hoping Orient would do the same but no such luck! Enjoy your day Tuesday if not the game. ?

Cruel game football. You flying one moment now sinking. Us within a few inches of being promoted. But guess that is the beauty if the game. Have a great evening out in Brentford. And so nice to hear from a fellow fan.

Take care. The locals are quite friendly. I live about half a mile from the ground. I have only been here for forty years but same even speak to me.

I turned up at half time for Tranmere away one year, motorway nightmare.

All the turnstiles were locked and unmanned, nightmare also.

Anyhow we went to the main entrance. They were great, charged us half price and escorted us through the stand, past the changing rooms, through the tunnel, then out around the pitch into the away end.

***** game from what I recall but fond memories of the club.

That said, I hope we stuff em for 5 on Tuesday! ;)

A Brentford win would be appreciated.

Agreed...Nixon was always immense against us - at least he won't be playing on Tuesday

He was also very cocky with it. Got lucky on numerous occasions and smirked at us regularly with that supercilious grin of his. Hated the bloke. Very unlikeable character.

Not quite sure how it happened but am in fairly regular contact with a number of Tranmere fans via FB and a decent bunch they are too. Wish you all the best mate after Tuesday and, as said by others on here, you will be welcome in our pubs for a sherbert!!

Full page article with Brentford in the headline in the Liverpool Echo today, describing how Tranmere's season went South after their win at GP last year. Something about Neil Diamond and forever in blue jeans?? I think based on Tranmere's performance last year we all thought that Orients bubble would have burst by now, bring on Saturday!

Remember it well that League Cup game with Tranmere.

We through everything at Nixon that day and he saved them all.

Given Tranmere's terrible form and all the problems they're facing right now, I suppose we are favourites to win comfortably. But football doesn't always work out like that! I'm expecting a tough fight from Tranmere. I'm expecting to win but I'm not expecting a walkover.

Like many on here I quite like Tranmere and I wish them well in their difficult circumstances. But not on Tuesday!! Please let them have one more stinker before the fightback..........

My sentiments, no easy games now but would like a relatively easy win Tuesday.

I've got a couple of Tranmere supporting mates who work on the Tube, one based at Acton so hoping he'll come to the match. Both good lads. Wishing them luck after Tuesday. I think we are in trouble if we think it's going to be easy.
