Transfer Deadline

The deadline for emergency loan signings is this Thursday. Do you reckon the board will find some funds to plug those well-documented gaps in our side or do we think that the players we have can see us to the other side of Christmas and an improved position?

Transfer Deadline

Seeing as the board is having to find funds to pay off Leroy then I think it's very unlikely that we'll be bringing anyone in, especially with a new manager in the offing. Possible we may see a couple going the other way though....

We need 20 emergency loans though.;)

After seeing this team of wasters recently, I have more or less accepted relegation and simply hope we can bomb most of them out in the summer. Even those on contracts .... I feel that ashamed of them.

another 75 minutes for him last night in the reserves v. Charlton. Anyone actually know if we were paying him, or Reading were funding it. Be amazed if Scott Fitzgerald wasn't aware of him, and surely Steve Coppell would be more than happy to help.

Transfer Deadline

Well, I'd like Simon Cox back if we can get him.

SO would I if Reading foot the bill, wouldn't mind Goldbourne from them either. He has just finished a veru successful stint at Wycombe. :fishing:

Transfer Deadline

I doubt Scott Fitz would be allowed to strengthen the squad before this Friday

Transfer Deadline

Would his recent injury, caused in a League one game, and subsequent layoff, give Coppell and Cox nervous thoughts about returning to this level ?

Don't injuries happen in the Premiership, then?

They are bigger and better injuries in the Premiership !

I'd prefer us to loan in a manager, like one of Chelsea's backroom staff, who has some spare time.....

Best injuries in the world!! Now available in HD....

Not when it appeared that he isn't in Reading's long term thoughts.

Transfer Deadline

Unless someone (Rhodes? - but I think he's injured) goes out to free some cash, I would be surprised if the board let the temp manager spend the tiny amount of money that might be available to a permanent manager. If we can get Cox (or a defensive midfielder from elsewhere) for nothing, then great, otherwise we'll just have to batten down the hatches and hope for improved performances and no new injuries
