Transfer Deadline
Personally think he is a better player, ceratinly defensively, than Sarosta, where we have Pead & O'Connor who could cover. Whereas Tillen is the alternative at left back or a right back playing out of position.

I like Basey

Lets get rid of Brooker and Heywood then, Problem solved
Basey looked a yard off the pace on Saturday.
from les on another thread: 'Andy Scott warns fans not to expect any more signings in today's Chronicle. Also says that they are looking to extend Pettigrew and Hamer but doesn't need to be done this week, although there seemed to be more of a doubt about Hamer now that Brown is fit.' '
end of thread me thinks! thanks everyone.
As much as I'd love to be proved wrong on that front, I can't see it unless something drastic happens with Brooker or Heywood. As has been said before, as well as Hamer and Pettigrew have done, I'd happily trade them in for a new striker and a new left back on loan.
He couldn't really do much about the goal, I was seated directly behind it and it was a dead straight rocket, Hamer was unsighted by presumably Basey. What I mean is that Basey often didn't get back after he'd been up the pitch, which left us occasionally open even more than we should have been given we only had 10 men. Still, we won, soThat may have been more because the extra pace that Puncheon had rather than his loss of pace. Thought he marshalled him quite well 1st half when all Barnet tried to do was get the ball to Puncheon, hec ould of easily jumped in but didn't kept on his feet and tackled quite nicely.
Puncheon then played most of the 2nd half on the left hand side and although their goal was down Basey's side, he had pretty much closed down the danger going past him but others failed to close down inside of him quickly enough.
