The 27-year-old impressed during last week's pre-season camp in Germany and has been training with the Bees squad at Jersey Road. Bees boss Uwe Rösler knows the wing-wizard well from his time in charge of Viking in Norway and has swooped to bring the former Czech international to Griffin Park.
The club are continuing to keep tabs on former Bayern Munich II keeper Daniel Müller. Uwe Rösler cast his eye over the giant German goalkeeper during last week's pre-season training camp. However, the youngster is no longer at the club, although Rösler insists they will continue to monitor his progress. “We wanted to look at Daniel because Richard Lee is still doing his rehab,” he said. “He's a good keeper, with enormous height. He did well and we'll monitor his situation. We'll continue to keep tabs on him.”
Uwe Rösler has played down speculation linking him with a permanent move for striker Bradley Wright-Phillips. The 28-year-old scored five goals in 10 league starts during a loan spell at Griffin Park towards the end of last season. Wright-Phillips is a free agent after being released by Charlton last month, with reports suggesting he could be on his way back to TW8. However, Will Grigg's arrival last week means the Bees have four senior strikers on their books and Rösler has moved to pour cold water on the rumours of Wright-Phillips returning to the club. “I can't see that happening,” he said. “We went for Will Grigg, who has settled in very well. We have four strikers and before we do anything in that area someone has to go out. But at the moment there is no need to bring in another striker.”
AFC Wimbledon have been told they must wait until the end of the month before finding out whether they can take Emmanuel Oyeleke on loan. The Dons have contacted Brentford about bringing the highly-rated youngster to Kingsmeadow. However, the Bees want versatile Oyeleke, who can play in defence or midfield, to spend pre-season with them before making a decision on his future. Boss Uwe Rösler said, “When we think there's not enough room for our younger players we will definitely consider loaning them out. Manny's not 100 per cent fit at the moment, and players who aren't fully-fit won't go out on loan. He will get playing time in pre-season and then we'll make a decision.”
