Hi Mate
If you could , that would be good .The person Ive used before is too expensive
You run a tight ship and seem to struggle retaining staff.

Does the tree have a preservation order on it? If you not sure make sure you cgeck or it could be a criminal conviction and big fine
Are you the tree police ? Sting maybe ?
Yep I am actually just giving you some friendly advice before you start another thread with lawyer required!!!

I know about TPO's , thanks any way
What sort of prices are we talking for knocking down a couple of horse chestnut trees. Sounded out the neighbours - they are delighted - plus no TPOs so just need someone reliable. @nanny58; do you come out to East London!?!

All you can do is get a few quotes and/or recomendations. Sorry I cant help. I just went through similar but I live in Farnham and in TPO country. Managed to bargain the best quotation down by playing off the other quotations.Saved me about £150 off a final bill of about £280.
Of course those figures were based on reasonably small but mature trees.
Not sure how big your trees are......
Thanks. A couple of horse chestnut trees need felling. I've got one quote but would like a couple more.

You need to be careful if they're near your property. You may get some groundswell caused by the non-removal of water that the tree used to dispose of
