What were peeps views of Mr Able....was he...? Also :nono: to Kezie Ibe, and possibly  to Brett Johnson.

Can't see what Abel would add to the squad although he looked an OK player, not surprised he has let Ibe go...bit Isiah Rankin like all huff and puff but no goals.

Johnson had a decent game against Bromley at CB and might have earned a contract but I think he would only be a squad player at this stage, a useful one though.

sophomore - isn't that a term for Lower School.

Sophomore
Senior..

Yes/No?

A letterman

A letterman, in U.S. sports, performing arts or academics, is a high school or college student who has met a specified level of participation and/or performance on a varsity athletic team, marching band, or in other performance school-sponsored activities.

I wouldnt be suprised, particularly given KO's injury, if Brett Johnson was offered a short term deal on a reasonably small wage - similar to Shakes last year.

I cant help but be impressed with the AS approach to bagging a late deal, no panic buying, let sh*te settle and see who is desperate for a wage over the next few weeks.

A sophomore is a second year college student in a four year undergraduate system. Thus: Year 1. Freshman, 2. Sophomore, 3. Junior, 4. Senior. If you miss a season due to injury you can take what's called a 'red shirt' year and return as a 5th year senior. Then you run out of eligibility and can no longer play college/university sport.

Close... but not too close.

So Abel is still here then?,Any good?
Yes he is and I think he's worth a full run out next match to test his fitness and get a proper look at him.

Apologies if it has been mentioned elsewhere but Sunday played for us (Colchester) in our first pre-season game tonight and scored.

That Sunday bloke has signed for Colchester..

Is he a player that 'slipped through the net' or will he be a flop in the league above?

I liked him a lot ..... hope to see him again in a Bees shirt :sorted:

Yeah a few of those "on trial" (not in the same way Smith is/was on trial) were good last night. Antonio showed some good play, as did Pearce. Would like to see them again(sadly no going Saturday though as would have liked to have seen them against BIG Boys), hope they along with a couple of the youngsters who's names escape me, hopefully will win contracts :sorted:

I'd imagine Antonio's future depends very much on Marvin Williams injury

Trialist watch

I think we can cover any Williams injury better by pushing Newton forward and playing either Kev or Ruddick at right back

Trialist watch

if williams is out for a long time then newton must play right mid i still doubt his defensive abilities he is much better going foward from what i have seen put kev there wouldn't trust luke there

I'd imagine AS would field a team that will more or less resemble his starting line up against Bury as this will prove, against proper opposition, if they are ready.. playing against Staines etc (no offence to them) won't prove if they are ready.

Assuming Dickson and Williams unavailable (for now, and possibly for Bury), I'd guess
Hamer
O'Connor Mills Pearce/Phillips Wood
Newton Bean Smith Poole
MacDonald Connell/Elder

I imagine he'll trial Pearce and Phillips for at least half a game each - might play them together at some point, and will try both Connell and Elder

Feel free to take time to familiarise yourself with the two keys to the right of the M on your keyboard and the one further over with the hollow arrow pointing upwards :sorted:

Miles Mitchell Coop played for Wivenhoe Town on Saturday so I guess he's been released.

According to their website, he has joined them, to link up with "1 minute" ex-bee Jamie England

Why the :fishing:as I don't disagree. We played some good stuff with Monty in the side last season.

Because your previous post indicated thet we need a bigger or smaller bloke with :confused:at the end. My answer was that maybe we already have the bigger one.
