Can't see what Abel would add to the squad although he looked an OK player, not surprised he has let Ibe go...bit Isiah Rankin like all huff and puff but no goals.

Johnson had a decent game against Bromley at CB and might have earned a contract but I think he would only be a squad player at this stage, a useful one though.

I read that as Johnson is being considered as a utility defender but might have to wait to see how expensive the centre back we sign is.

I wouldnt be suprised, particularly given KO's injury, if Brett Johnson was offered a short term deal on a reasonably small wage - similar to Shakes last year.

Yeah a few of those "on trial" (not in the same way Smith is/was on trial) were good last night. Antonio showed some good play, as did Pearce. Would like to see them again(sadly no going Saturday though as would have liked to have seen them against BIG Boys), hope they along with a couple of the youngsters who's names escape me, hopefully will win contracts
