Just seen what Arsenal are charging for season tickets next season. Remember that this is for four games fewer than Brentford season ticket holders get.

From next season, a season ticket at Highbury will cost up to £1285 with some middle range tickets increasing from £778 to £966. The lowest season ticket will still set fans back £607.

OK, the quality of the football may be higher, but is it really that much more entertaining? And who in the hell can afford £1285 for a season ticket? THat's £67.63 per game? Even the cheapest ticket works out at nearly £32 per game!

Brentford prices for next season must be applauded, especialy for the kids and the youths. The minor increase in my ticket price is worth it for that inniative.

The OAP prices should have been frozen (its not to late Brentford).

Brentford FC would do well to place the following ad on the back pages of all of the free local papers distributed throughout Ealing, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Spelthorne and Richmond.

'Are you an ex Brentford fan from the 70 & 80's who stopped coming to set up home or start a family'

Now is the time to bond with your child, A Brentford season ticket only cost £20, for all home 23 Nationwide League games, thats less than 87p per match.

Ed, does the ARSEnal ticket include cup and european matches? I know some Premiership seasons do.

An Arsenal supporter recently called Talk Sport about how good a value his ST is as it includes all cup games including Champions League, so if their lucky enough to get alot of home draws in FA & Worthinton Cups the value ain't as bad. Chelsea however is a different story as few if any cup games are included and a bloke I know is paying £1500 for his ST next year. How does the average man afford it? Prawn Sandwich munchers need only apply!!

This explains why they never sold out their ground for European games!

just renewing the corporate season tickets at Old Trafford @ £380.00 each. League games only, cup games automatically debited to credit card @ £22 to £26 each

This season I was given 2 tickets for the Arsenal-Lyon Champions league match. My son and I went and, with every attempt to be unbiassed, we both concluded that the game between Bees and Bristol City the previous evening had been far more entertaining. The expected massive improvment in 'quality of football' was not realised.

The fans around us were giving Henry - a supposed top international striker - more stick than Lloydy ever gets.

Just spoken to a Gooner in the office who says that his season ticket has increased by 25% to £607, and he claims that he sits in one of the cheapest areas! He says they get 7 cup games free, and after that they have to pay for them. Away tickets at Highbury have always been among the cheapest in the division (£19 this year), but it'll be interesting to see what they charge next season.

One of my best mates is a gooner and his whole family (seven of them) are ST holders. That works out ata something like £6000+.

I was under the impression that a ST at Brentford didn't get you into matches, just got reduced admission - can someone clear this up for me please ASAP

Of course a Bees ST gets you in for free, although it may be confusing when the club make a big deal that ST holders get "priority booking for matchday tickets"...why the hell do we need those if we have an ST!
