Venables Out?

Venables Out?

Don't tell me Charlton went to Elland Road and got a result.

Venables Out?

they won 2-1, both goals in the last ten mins :mhihi:

Venables Out?

In fairness, Charlton d*cked on a cr*p Leeds team for 90 minutes, and deserved the victory.

Venables must go. Indeed, he will go if they don't win the return leg in the Uefa Cup.

Watch this space.

Venables Out?

I'm going to the Malaga match... it should certainly be an interesting match indeed

Venables Out?

Another situation where they appointed the wrong man. Venables has always been a buying coach, to give him a job, sell two of the best players and give him no money to replace them it is always unlikely that he will do well.
Add a crippling injury list and you can understand why the're doing so badly.

They will have to sack him eventually because they can't carry on this bad form but I think they are hoping he will resign. That way they don't have to pay him off.

Some hope, the crafty cockney would not go that quietly, look what he screwed Goldberg for. I've read he would be owed a £3m payoff if he goes, not sure Leeds could really afford that, anyway who would they get in his place?

Their problems go back to the Woodgate/ Bowyer court case ( they should have offloaded both of them in the summer) and that stupid book by bighead O'Leary, plus spending way above their means. A club in continuous decline for a while methinks, even a candidate for relegation.

Venables Out?

He's only on a 2 year contract which raised a few eyebrows when he started. Did O' Neill ever sign that new contract at Celtic?

Venables Out?

Rumours are that he will be in either the red of Manchester or the white of North London by January. Can't see the latter happening, but Ruud and Fowler up front, ouch!

Venables Out?

I get the feeling that the problems don't lie in El Tel, but in the players themselves.

Everything I've heard, from the Viduka / Kewell argument, to Dacour this weekend, the criticism has been aimed towards individuals in the team and not the manager.

There are serious issues in the dressing room between the players which were there long before El Tel took over, of which we'll never truly really know. And I'm sure if the transfer window wasn't in existence, then we would have seen a revolving door installed at Elland Road.

If Leeds are going to get rid of Terry, they have to do it way before the window re-opens so that the new man has time to work with and assess who they want and who the trouble makers are.

Maybe they thought of that already - that's why they appointed El Tel.
