Viewing figures

I was curious to find out how many people were watching us live against Chelsea in the first match, and how many are likely to watch the replay on Sunday.

After brief reseach, it seems that 378,000 were watching on ESPN (UK).

However, ITV has much more penetration and last year's Sunday afternoon match at this stage (Stevanage v Spurs 2pm 19 Feb 2012) had a UK viewing figure of 2.96m. I suppose there is no reason to expect a drastically different figure for this year.

That seems quite a lot! But on top of that, you need to add the people watching live overseas in countless territories. In some cases it will be a niche programme; in others could it be mainstream? Could we be looking at 10m worldwide?

Surely it's got to be somewhere between 100,000 and 10,000,000 at a guess?
Ps. Reckon if we don't win, we might get beat unless it's another draw.

It's all quite precise isn't it? Anyway I'm having a cheeky 'ton' on the Bees 'getting a result' at the weekend. :sorted:

Your a brave man sir. I have some success with unlikely bets, but I'am afraid this one would be a bet to far for me. However, I really wish you the best of of luck with this.

I'm tempted to have a 'oner' on it... A one, er, quid. #skint

Good question - judging from the amount of channels globally which are showing it, I reckon it will be 50 million +. 2M for starters on ITV and its a EPL club with international players. Its being shown in Brazil as well and they have 2 players (Oscar & Luiz) in the line up.

Ah ffs, does this mean the Corinthians manager will be watching and will bid for Harry? Bugger.

Tite, the Corinthians manager, would not countenance the likes of Harry in his team. Far too creative and unpredictable. On the other hand, Flamengo are looking for a number 10 to replace Ronaldinho since he walked out. I should warn Harry though, that it is unlikely that he'll get paid every month.

There is a potential audience of 200 million in Brazil. The good news is that it will be shown on ESPN Brasil and every bar has a TV screen. The bad news is that it is a 9am kick-off.
