The guy with the powerful head torch was very important too - apart from when his light picked up the spider which had spun its web between my head and yours and was catching insects in the middle!

I was the "powerful head torch guy", and fully agree with you about Ockley...

..the town should be made to re-distribute signage immediately !

A fantastic achievement, well done to all.

One small point; can someone get the official site changed to read 'annals' rather than 'annuls'?

Walkers updates

A belated well done to everyone, particularly those that finished.
I don't think anyone who hasn't taken part can comprehend how well you've done! :sorted:
I would like to thank the volunteers for their effort, and the general good will between everyone involved was really something to behold.
I wish i had done more than my 35 miles, but i stop and think, did any of the team last season ever feel this knackered, this determined and even part of a team as much as us on the weekend.
Everyone involved is a credit to this club and thankfully certain persons at the club, Butcher and Gilham spring to mind, seem to have noticed.:)

i didnt think 64 miles was a possibility for anybody, even before the walk....and after reaching horsham with blisters and various aches and fatigue, at a time of night when sensible people are fast asleep in bed, i was certain no human being could possibly go the full distance. to find out the next day that first one, then three, then eleven people had summoned every reserve of guts and commitment to complete the challenge was incredible; when these heroes are paraded on the pitch next season, when their bricks are secured into the wall of fame at Griffin Park, and when the applause deservedly rings round the pitch, i will know just a fraction of the effort these guys and girl put in. Brentford football club is honoured to have you as supporters.

well done to everyone involved and to the many organisers, as louzer said the good will was conspicuous and testament to the community spirit that deep down binds this club together.
