I felt a bit sorry for him really.

He's been hyped up ridiculously. He did nothing to deserve an award, and looked very uncomfortable collecting it.
He was sitting with David Moyes, who obviously told him not to say anything, as he always does.
They are trying to keep him out of the limelight and things like last night don't help them to do it.

He has scored 2 goals in about 1/2 a dozen games. I thought Craig Bellamy would have been a better choice if you wanted a footballer

it should have been that cub scout who turned up for the swimming gala to discover none of his mates had, so he entered all the races on his own and won quite a few (including the relay!)

Ridiculous award, he has been hyped by the media as the new Michael Owen (or more) when in fact he has done sod all yet. If I were Moyes I'd drop him to the reserves for 3 months, as for an England call up as some are crying out for, complete joke.

Seems to happen to Everton players.......Branch, Jeffers et al, all seemingly quite average now. Danger is the lad will have peaked by his 18th birthday and descend into life as a Journeyman pro.

Talking of Wayne Rooney, there was a story on TalkSport at the weekend, but I'm not sure how true it is.

Rooney and Alan Stubbs took a trip down the Kings Road to waste some time between the two Chelsea games.

They had just finished training, so were in tracksuits and paid a visit to an exclusive Estate Agents as Rooney saw a flat in the window going for a cool £1m and wanted to see what a £1m flat looked like... (in fact, I'd like to see what a £1m flat looks like!).

So 17 year old Scouse Rooney walked up to the stuck up agent, and asked for the details of the flat. As you can imagine, the agent became suspicious of this young scouse and rang the police... as the agent thought they were casing the joint!!
