Great crowd.

Sunny Day.

Home win against top 6 opposition.

Bee's go top of the table.

Pooper Scoopers lose.

Oh what a perfect day!!!

Three questions :

1. Did the Bee's play well?

2. Did the "new" sections of the crowd get excited?

3. What's the measure of success? Another 1,000 on the crowd for the next home game?

Well Done Bees

1) yes but the last 10 minutes were tense
2) the crowd was lively but not muc singing out side of brook rd lower
3) i think a measure of success would be attendences gradually increasing over the course of the season. bear in mind different clubs may bring many fewer fans than others.

Well Done Bees

just for once the bees didnt disappoint the huge crowd and for 30 mins in the 1st half looked like the could win the league/euro league/world cup on their own!!

last 10 mins was stress city but fair play to the defence for throwing themselves in for every challenge - ingarmarsson was outstanding and i take back everything i said about him last season. this season he has been a revelation and today i'd give him 10 out of 10!!

the crowd noise was good but could have been better but i put that down to everyone being split up - especially on the Braemar(and i was in the New Rd!!!)and in the new rd where there seemed to be the most 'new fans'.
a great result, day and most important of all we showed the the 'new fans' that its quality entertainment down at GP this season and i reckon a lot will come back for more.
should put the average up to 6,000 anyway!!!

roll on bournemouth and those w@nkers from berkshire - we defo owe those jumped up 'big time oh how we laughed when they lost to walsall in cardiff pretenders' a good mauling?!!

VFTB predicts two away wins and two major hangovers..................!!

Well Done Bees

4) There was one pessimist in the crowd, as always, this time a turnstile operator by the name of Dave

You have to give full credit to the club for the whole initiative of today, it was a huge success IMHO and made you feel quite proud to be part of it. Full house, additional entertainment, good programme package and a fair game to boot...Oh and Evo doing his Beckham impersonations just for th kids.

I don't think we will see huge rises in numbers but hopefully a more gradual increase especially we stay at the top.

I think youll find dave was the one sat at the back of brook road lower trying to cope with the heat and looking like he was going to be sick!

Superb day, well done BFC for organising everything superbly.
One sour note was the 10 or so Boro who slapped a few Bees who were on their own.
Retribution was had though

Well Done Bees

I was a bit concerned that, as usual the bees would stutter in front of the large crowd, and the first 10 minutes didnt help, but the supa bees won in the end. I thought the whole day was excellent and well done to all concerned for the organisation involved. There were additional staff in catering, the programme and other bits and bobs were good, especially the season review booklet, the football was good and we won on a nice sunny day (surely the last sunny day until next year?).
Also did anyone else notice that ALOT of the crowd had bees shirts on from a few years back? I thought this may be the result of the stayaways coming back?

Well Done Bees

Super day had by all so a big thank you to PG and GH and all the other backroom staff who had a part in it. Brought a few first timers with me and they all seemed to enjoy it. Indeed, one dad ended up splashing out money in the club shop on his son who now wants to support the Bees. I'll be doing my best to make sure they get along as much as possible in the future. Finally an apology to all those around me who may have suffered from the antics of my little boy

, in particular the lady in front, who has no doubt seen all the little footprints on the back of her jumper. Last point for Paul (shipton...bee), my little boy wants your glasses and he wants them now

I predicted 2-1 coz they are a good side - but we are better. What an awesome day - got a few pints down the neck beforehand - saw two superbly taken goals and got the regular unistakebale dosage of Brentford Adrenalin at the end too.

Well done to everyone for making it a superb day!!
