Totally agree. Upton Park was a fantastic ground which created for a great atmosphere. WHU fans rolled over and let it all happen before their eyes. The only people openly objecting were Leyton Orient. WHU fans now realise that this new stadium doesn't do it for them.

That’s it though! I go to Hampton,(mainly for the social club and because I played for them and can walk (stagger) home afterwards), but another league team?

Yep they thought they would be competing with the big 6 or 7 clubs just because they now had a big stadium and some surplus money due to the cheap rent. However everyone, even West Ham fans, know it doesn't quite work like that just ask Newcastle fans, big ground and a better manager than anyone West Ham have appointed yet they still struggle.

I think both fans would claim underinvestment from the owners, Newcastle probably have a better argument in that regard but I can’t say I pay to much attention to WHU.

Net spend of something like £20m over 3 years on transfers. Last accounts show a profit of £45m last year and similar to the year before. You have to wonder where the money is going.....

Well exactly, loaning the club funds at 7% APR when we're making a tidy profit, it just doesnt add up. Hence why the fans are now (yes yes everyone, speared on by the poor results) - have had enough.

It's not that West Ham don't invest, it's that they don't invest well at all. They let real targets get away as they don't want to pay their actual value, and will then end up overpaying for an average player once that's all that is left. They're a club constantly needing rebuilding, with an ownership structure that will publicly blame the manager for their mistakes when results aren't going their way. They're snidey, they're manipulative, they lie and misinform in pretty much everything they do, while never taking responsibility for the things they do wrong.

The stadium will give them a lot more revenue, but if the same money wasters are in charge, nothing will really change apart from the amount they're overpaying wrong targets. West Ham fans were sold a lie, although they shouldn't have believed the ruse so quickly IMO.

I don't doubt Sullivan and the rest are creaming plenty off the top for themselves. But is there any evidence that WHU haven't got a nice portion of that money banked 'for a rainy day'?

There is £30m cash in the bank i think the accounts said... we even loaned against Season Ticket sales this year to generate revenue....

If i heard DG correctly on the radio last week, West Ham were paying 10% interest on £80mill to the banks, then Gold put a loan into the club at only 4% saving West Ham 6%?

No, it is true, but it is doing it for his own gain and to make you think "they're doing WH a favour" - the truth is they could probably have got a 2% loan from a bank for that sort of money - but they get the biggest then do the robin hood story.

The people who own/run WHU are absolute scum, on a par with Noades etc, so I wouldn't wish them on any set of fans.

But if forced to choose someone out of the 92, I'd say WHU's would be somewhere between 1st and 1st on my list. ;)

I recall that Spurs were very interested, but were rolled out of any deal, the reason apparently being that they wanted to re-build the stadium to make it into a proper football venue, which would have meant scrapping the running track etc.

While Spurs instead are spending an estimated £800m for a new ground on the site of their old one, which will be purpose-built for football.

They've been uprooted and are struggling to settle in their big stadium
which is gradually being filled with tourists.

No but actual poll was around 50/50. I was for it for the record as I saw it as required progress. However the 50% who didn’t want to go were sold the fact we will invest heavily to take us to the next level. << quoted words. What has happened is a net spend of £25m in 2 years despite making a £45m a season profit and a much much worse team. It’s just been building up over time and obvious money making for the dildo brothers. Who are allegedly West Ham fans. But only after money in their bank. The addition to London in the new crest caused a lot of outrage as well. Also there are rumours the march was called off due to bungs being paid to the organisers. But that’s just rumours.

Said that it is all the London Stadiums fault for stewarding

This has nothing to do with West Ham not having to pay for stewards then
