I haved supported the Bees for all but the first six years of my 37 on this earth. I can honestly say that for all that time there has been a reluctance on behalf of the Great British media to deny our existance. Any success was given with a faint heart and in the case of most rags...ignored.

What a day today, I have spent a fortune in the Asda near Hampden Park here in Glasgow buying all papers with huge brentford pictures on the front cover. I am listening to the Pompey v Liverpool game on the radio and they keep mentioning the Bees, our goals and yesterdays games saying that was what football and the cup is all about. The beeb website had us as mentioned elsewhere on here as the sports headline, I even saw a report on the fox network.

It is quite weird being the centre of such attention, but truely great...who else is looking forward to the glow of going to work tomorrow morning?

I have always stated how proud I am to be a Bee, but in an Animal Farm sort of way I am even prouder today!

Nice one Glasgow...I know a lot of people feel exactly the same...my Bees mate in Cyprus has been on the dog and bone all day..he's as excited as any other Bees fan that was at the game...long may it continue..:sorted:

couldn't have said it better myself, although as I said before although we were terrific yesterday I was very surprised with the press we've got, given the difference between the teams, still I'm not complaining.

Very proudly this afternoon I walked through Heathrow wearing my Bees shirt on the way back home from the game after I night out celebrating with friends last night.

It felt great wearing the shirt and looking through all the papers adorned with pictures of players wearing the same!

Many people recognised the shirt, from the guys watching X-Ray screens of passengers hand luggage to the people working the check-in desks and food outlets in the terminal.

All I can say is well done Martin and the lads - yesterday was superb and you have really done your bit to put our club on the map - keep it up and take the plaudits while they come. Looking forward to tomorrow's draw!

My Bees shirt got noticed while I was watching a high school 'soccer' game in Texas Saturday PM.

I was surprised when a bloke with an English accent tapped me on the shoulder and said "nice result today mate"

Made me proud - not bad I thought - the word has spread four thousand miles across the globe within hours.

The Bees are on their way !! :sorted:

i work in wimbledon and most of the people that work there are palace fans, there cool with brentford and are "true" footballing fans as they know what the lower leagues is all about and do usually sypathise with me about Noades.

but you do get the odd glory hunter and in my case at work most of them are Arsenal!!

it was so good walking into the the office today and saying at the top of my voice "HANDS UP IF YOUR STILL IN THE FA CUP"

lol lol lol

im gonna have a good day today.....even more so if we draw chelski or man yoo away!!!!

I have a house in Greece where i spend about 4 months a year.
From about 6pm on Sat evening my phone didn't stop ringing or texting, most were from Greece and not only from the few Brits i know there but many Greeks whom i didn't even think knew who i supported!!!
Coupled with the 1/2 a dozen emails from Australia and America, i think the Bees are now 'world Famous!'

I love it!!!

I've heard from a couple of people I lost touch with a long time ago.

But that's the only down point, otherwise i'm well happy. :sorted:

I organised a message to my mate on a BA flight back from Miami on Saturday

Apparently 300 passengers on the plane also got the message.

"Bees 2 Sunderland 1. DJ Campbell is God"


The agent who took the message was a Magpie and asked me if I was a supporter (stupid question) told me that she thought it was a magnificent result and that one of her colleagues had £20 on the Mackems to win depite everybody in the call centre telling him to save his money

I am. Just as I did when Andy McCulloch, Gordon Sweetzer, Steve Phillips, Francis Joseph, Nicky Forster, Bob Taylor, Marcus gayle, Dean Holdsworth, Gary Blissett and ... and ... and ... all left.

It's the way of the world (as Buster from Tom and Jerry might say). Who knows, we might sign a decent player to replace him.
