What does Peters

Have to do to get a start.

We have Mac who has scored 2 goals this year. One of which could have been scored by a bollard. His work ratio to reward ratio is very poor.

We have Vine who has scored 1 goal this year, is knackered and pi55ed off (judging by his manerisms on the pitch)and who goes to back to Pompy at the end of the season, and we have Antoine Curier for a month.

On the bench we have Peters who will be about our only striker next season. He has had a few sub appearance but surely now the time has come to give him a start.

If the kid has attitude so what, I would have a fecking attitude having to sit, kitted up and watch some of the displays that we have seen over the last few weeks, then come in with 20 minutes left.

He captained the stiffs against Bournemouth and had a storming game, setting up 4 of the 5 goals, he scored in the win agianst Bronby.

What is Wally waiting for? We are on our worst run of results since I don't know when, taking 1 point from 18 and scoring 3 goals in 6 games. You have to go back to December 14th against Chesterfield to have seen us score more than 1 goal in a game.

It is pi55 poor, drop the Trolley and get Peters on at the start.

What does Peters

Absolutely right JBN. The time has come to give someone else a chance.

PS Wally, 433 DOES NOT WORK

What does Peters

Well said JBN,Marky Mac has had enough chances to prove himself, give the boy Peters a start.

What does Peters

I couldn't agree more JBN.How much longer does Wally need to see that what we have isn't working??

What does Peters

Wally acknowledged about 3 months ago that we have a striker problem. He said that he would not be rushed in to making any swift decisions.

So be patient and give him a chance. He's got another 9 matches yet in which to form an opinion on who can score goals to stay off the relegation threat!!!!

Unfortunately his initial effort, in the “double barrelled frenchie”, seems to support his view that rushed decisions do not work!!!

What does Peters

He hasn't got 9 games to make a decision, he has 9 games to prevent us being relegated!

What does Peters

We have taken 1 point from 18.

We had games in hand.

We could have been in the play offs

I hate the play offs with a passion, but I would have been happy.

It may be a funny old game, but I am fast loosing my sense of humour.

What does Peters

i was a maccammon fan but my patience has gone!

this guy cant head a ball (port vale LDV, qpr last season, stoke play offs).

cant bloody run even tho theres a rumour that he could have been a 100m runner!

Looks to god damm lazy!

as for this twice a week tuesday saturday rubbish, if he is tired then bloody play Peters who probably has more understanding woth this french guy as they have played in the reserves together!

What does Peters

Bit academic re Peters as he will be starting a 4 match ban on Saturday (3 games for Wycombe red card plus 1 more as it is his second red card of the season)

What does Peters

I thought his red card was being appealed.

If it was appealed and stood then double bugger with bells on:(

What does Peters

Another 2 goal's for peter's this afternoon i see what does he have to do to get started? instead of starting maccammon in the front 3 why not have vine, curier and peter's it's worth ago

What does Peters

I am disgusted with the criticism Downes is getting on this thread. As he is the only manager in Division Two working under such financial constraints, I demand that all criticism of the man is witheld.

Any manager who realises that useless players such as Mark Peters and Martin Rowlands are only fit for the bench must be worth hanging on to. I'm dreading the thought of Barnet pursuing their interest in Downes! lol

LOL!!!!!!!!!!:D :D

What does Peters

Apparantly we decided not to appeal the sending-off, as it would have cost us money and it wasn't deemed worthwhile.

I guess this is a mixture of Poll's likelihood to change his mind and Downes' want to have Peters available.

Hopfully we will be mathmatically safe by the time he returns and we can see him starting some games.

What does Peters

All well and good scoring in the Reserves - Hutch scores in the Reserves, but he doesn't score in the Big Boys' League does he?

What does Peters

We are talking about Peters, not Hutch. Peters is a striker, Hutch is a midfielder.

We are not scoring goals in the 'big boys' league anyway, so why not get someone in who knows where the goal is. So what if he has scored in the reserves. At least he knows where the goal is, which is more than our current strike force.

The difference between the stiffs and the first team, is that Peters gets to play in the stiffs.

When was the last time he started a first team match?

When was the last time he played more than 30 minutes in a first team match?

When was the last time we were a goal down with Mac playing like a donkey and Peters came on

At the same point last year, we had scored 42 goals at home. So far this season, we have scored 21.
