Following Jay tabbs many messages on his departure, sodje in the Chronicle this week and even MA on the official site, did I miss Turners comments to the fans? I'm sure I must off and this thread will close really quickly, but if I didn't why did he not say anything?

Each to their own. If Turner doesn't want to comment it would do nothing to diminish my respect for him. Jay's gesture was entirely voluntary and no player should feel obliged to act similarly, or be thought less of because they don't.

Sodje hasn't either as far as I know. Or Gayle, Rankin and Newman.

Tabb is the one in the rare minority and Dobbo has had a few kind words too I believe.

Newman who cares! Gayle has said enough in the past and if your going on a free transfer, fair enough. Sodje was in the Chronicle this week basically saying remember the good times I do, fans were great .......... I'm just surprised that the Vice captain who had been voted player of the season chose to say nothing. Maybe the Chronicle didnt contact him, he went straight on tour with Hull I know and to be honest I wouldnt expect him to post on here.

It makes no odds at the end of the day he's gone, just would have liked to have heard something from him considering how highly regarded he was by us all.

I like Turner, he is a bloody good player and I wish him every success, however, just because a player leaves, doesn't mean he has to post a response on the GPG.

It would have been good if he did, but he didn't and I won't hold that against him.

Tabby is a one off, they broke the mould after they made him. A crying shame, because the game needs more like him.

Can you imagine the response if Newman wanted to post on the GPG?

Your totally right, now is what is important, it was just something I had nagging away in the back of my head. Perhaps I just want to hear up and coming players leaving the club singing our praises, makes the reality seem a bit easier to swallow!

Not sure how that policy can apply to ex-players. Is it a clause in their contract that survives termination of the contract?
