Which keeper?

If A.S fails to get a loan keeper will he be starting Moore or lee I havnt seen lee is he any good? Saw him on YouTube few year back looked quality just wondering if he still is?

Which keeper?

If AS has signed Lee on a perm deal and now is actively searching for a loanee speaks volumes. He has also stated that he has no qualms abour letting Moore start on Sat.

Which keeper?

I have a feeling Moore will start. Although inexperienced he has looked the part when he has played, where Lee got off on the wrong foot and appears to under a bit of pressure to perform already. Moore also played against CP which I think will feature most of that team on Saturday, give or take a new forward or centra defender!

Which keeper?

I think Moore will start. I found some of AS's quotes interesting where he basically said he wanted to bring in a keeper of Wojicech's quality and if not he was happy for Moore to start. There wasn't even any mention of Richard Lee who was suppoesdly signed to be the number 1.

Which keeper?

and he also has an experienced player-coach goalie too!

clubs like arsenal have four goalies - not brentford. total madness.

But if one is a rookie and the others deemed to be not good enough what do you do then. Not every signing works and it appears AS already has reservations about Lee, Royce was signed as a coach and is only a last minute emergency bench warmer and reserve team player imho. If we had reservation about any othe rposition we would look to the loan market, why not a keeper? :fishing:
As for who. I would think that Andersson or McCarthy at Reading (who have 4keepers btw) might be a possibility, maybe Coppell would help us out now he has signed James, Gerken could be surplus, also we have a decent relationship with Ipswich who have signed another keeper so either Murphy or Lee-Barrett coul dbe an option.

Which keeper?

We definately dont need to get another keeper unless someone goes. Lee will start and I imagine will be fine. If not Royce is more than capable of stepping up and as we've seen so far Moore has got potential. Talk of getting a 4th keeper in is ridiculous.

Think Andersson has gone to Bristol Rovers on loan for a month

It's not 'talk' it's what AS wants. Moore was meant to go out on loan but due to some disappointing displays by Lee, is probably going to be no.1 on saturday with Lee as the sub. Royce is emergency keeper and coach. We need another keeper. McCarthy wood be good from reading but I'm sure AS has a few he's looking at. One will arrive before august 31st.

Which keeper?

Moore will probably play tomorrow, and Lee will play against Cheltenham on Tuesday. The better player would then start against Walsall. If neither keeper looks good enough for our ambitions by the end of August, I'd expect Moore to go out on loan and for us to get someone in on loan.

Sadly for Richard Lee, he doesnt look like the solution to our goalkeeping problem but I have no problem with giving him the benefit of the doubt at least for a little while.

Moore looked very confident in the friendlies, and I dont think AS will want to put him out on loan this season - especially if he feels he can challenge for the no.1 shirt.

If Moore or Lee doesn't make the position their own, we can expect a loan goalkeeper at GP come August. But I do fully expect at least one of them to grab the oppertunity, I mean we only got in Szczesney last season because Bull got injured (he had displaced Price from the team and had began to start matches).

If we had Gerken could we do away with Onions?

This is a strange situation.Lewis Price had a poor first game at Carlisle last season and then Nicky Bull came in but they both fell out of favour soon after. I didnt go to the Fulham game but was told that Lee wasnt good and as someone has pointed out it looks as though Scott is looking elsewhere already. I agree with the above. Paul Smith would be a great signing.

Which keeper?

I think we have to stick by him and give him a proper chance

Which keeper?

I hope this is not going to be a problem position. A decent keeper of our own (not commenting on our ones as I have not seen them this year so far) would be good. We have really, really struck it lucky with loan keepers in the last 3 years.

You can say that again... oh... ;)

Moore will start against Carlisle. But I fully expect to have a loanee or new signing in between the sticks against Walsall. I think AS hinted on the Chronicle that he'd run out of time to finalise a new keeper before tomorrow.

Which keeper?

we have only just signed one on a 2 year deal, have we not done our homework? this is mad wanting to sign another one

Which keeper?

Moore needs more experience, but will probably be very good in a year or two. Lee my just need a few proper matches to get "match sharp" as he has been on bench for quite a while at Watford. As for talk about Paul Smith, when he was at Brentford he was known to be the best keeper in league 1. He is now a little older and more experienced. He is also almost at his prime and I think he woud be a very good signing if he came back.

Which keeper?

Casper Ankergren has joined Brighton from Leeds....

Can imagine Poyet had his personal number from their days at Leeds together (if they were there together that is....)

Which keeper?

Moore and Lee will both benefit challenging for the number one spot IMO. no need for another keeper and touch wood there wont be

Which keeper?

After last nights display I would suggest that we are more than happy to stick with Red n White Rick behindthe stumps. Had a very safe pair of hands, stood up well and took the ball cleanly.

Why are we having a discussion about changing him ?

Which keeper?

How the medical team missed that Lee is a midget by comparison to Hamer and Chesney is beyond me and that makes it a poor signing in my book.

The one lesson we have all learnt over the last two seasons courtesy of Mr Scott, is the importance of a big strong keeper with presence and the ability to command his area.

Royce if fit enough would be my choice today.
Moore on Tues then send him out on loan for season hopefully.
Then it has to be a loan signing in time for Walsall next Saturday.

Lee should enrol for a sports science degree or something to occupy his mind because he wont play much this season imho

What if sam doesn't want to be touched?:)

Which keeper?

I think Moore was always going out on loan this sesaon in AS's mind with a view to him having a serious go at number one next season if he shined on loan.

With that in mind another keeper to challenge Lee for this season was probably always on the cards unless he felt he could run with Lee. It might be AS has been working on this for some time but has not been able to find a loanee he likes.

Moore's very good performances in friendlies and Lee's less than over impressive ones have maybe caused a rethink bit probably no more.

If both get a runout over the next two games then it will be up to them to take the opportunity...no pressure then!

Which keeper?

...big decision for Andy today...

Shouldn't be really. One deserves to start and the other doesn't.

The big decision is whether and who to bring in next week to challenge
