Why all ticket ??

Is there an ever growing number of Brentford fans at the moment that I've missed out on because i cant understand why Brighton and Colchester is all ticket?
Brighton's on the telly - is there really a likelyhood that it might sell out if we pay on the gate?
I spent my childhood at Colchester and have never known them to make a match like this all ticket. To my knowledge they havn't got half the ground being rebuilt either.

totatly agree with you mate,not going to northampton now because of this as thats all ticket as well and i wanted to decide on the day weather to go or not.have bought a brighton and col u ticket in advance but am pissed of that i had to,its the reason i stopped going to premiership matches.lets hope brentford arnt going down this route,it takes at least 2000 of an avarage home gate as there are also many people that decide on the day for home games as well.

I'd imagine Brighton is all ticket simply cos at the beginning of the season they probably classed it as one of the 'Higher profile' games. Northampton cos they have a smallish away end. As for Col U

Agree it would take a few punters off the total, but 2000 off an average gate !?!?!? Bit over the top perhaps ? More like a couple of hundred methinks.

Even I know there will be no more than 6,500 fans at the Brighton game.

Have the club announced it's all ticket preferred? Brentford can count 3 off the gate because my party will be watching it on the TV; Of course it's not the same. Like Sweepy says the crowd will be no where near a sell out and I'm not going to be inconvenienced by queuing for a ticket. The club can get my money by me buying merchandise in the shop which I will. I know it's the police that are requesting all ticket but do the club not bother to argue with the police about non-sensical decisions? And if we offered to pay for more police on the night would they remove the al ticket restrictions?

So what does ticket preferred actually mean then if you can pay on the day? Surely for any match you're at risk of not getting in where you want on the day? Will I definitely be able to pay into the Brook Rd on the day as I've got an ST but I'm taking people along and need to know whether to use my day off to pick up tickets.

ticket preferred means that although you can pay on the day,they cannot guarantee your normal seat will be available(unless your a season ticket holder which of course gurantees your normal seat).as for thurs sholdn't worry about buying in advance as i can't see there being any more than 7000

YOU'RE MEANT TO BE SUPPORTERS. ACT LIKE IT - SO WHAT YOU HAVE TO GET A TICKET FIRST? Somebody mentioned having to queue in order to do this - as others have pointed out it's not going to be a sell out anymore so the chances are you won't have to queue.

Also, do they not have telephones where you come from? I got my tickets over the phone for both Col U and Northampton last Friday. It ain't difficult.

And the reason Col U is all ticket is their ground is being redeveloped and thus the capacity is down; they have probably realised we've had a good season thus far and are likely to bring more than usual, coupled with the fact they have less space than usual = better make it all ticket.

Some of us don't live near the ground and are prepared to make a desicion on the night wether they wish to go or not. There are other forms of entertainment in this world and some of us are not in the "thick and thin" brigade and although i do go to practically every game I would not have bought an advance ticket for Brighton game because basically i have the flu and it may not be better by thursday. To all you fans that follow the club through thick and thin, good luck to you. I have previously but I'm getting tired of it all. I'm going to be selective from now on between watching the Bees and the Bronco's. Slate me as much as you want but there is only so much sh*t you can take and I've had 25 years of it. Some people decided to stay away until Webb was out, well until Noades goes my appearances at Griffin Park will be limited.

Whether its fact or fiction, I don't know but a lot of BEES that i know will always try and avoid buying tickets in advance.

Always have done, always will do - no reason, they(me included) just don't like paying up front. It might not make sense but thats they way it goes.

EG. Cardiff, I actually bought a ticket for this(so the club has had my money since mid-December) and now it has been re-arraneged for the night B4 England-Holland. Ticket no use to me as I go to England games(along with 30-or so BEES)

Am I now a tout for flogging the ticket on - wouldn't like to break the law
