Why are some threads closed down so quickly

On several occasions I should have liked to have added a friendly or constructive comment eg Thomas Strakosha leaving for Athens, where I should have liked to thank him for his contribution, albeit relatively small to our last season, and for his excellent performance for Albania in the Euros. Alas the moderators have chosen to close the thread, but why?

I don't know why you were banned but have lifted it. You can always contact a moderator if you have an issue.

Two threads to be exact however, I can’t remember which ones they were as it was a while back and I think in fairness the MODs were probably just trying the equipment out rather than getting at me personally.

Where I do struggle is having threads I start closed down…

A recent one I titled “who fancies an argument” being a case in point. Just as arguments were developing bang closed down, which was completely against the spirit of the thread title.

I think it it’s important to be respectful of the MODs they are fair give warning if your being a tit or repetitive for example if you can’t respect the warning you get what you deserve.

I did get banned for a while many years ago and I think Mrs Hullbee insisted I be reinstated as I was getting on her nerves and annoying her. Not sure what else she had to do to ease the passage of my reinstatement or continues to do to ensure I don’t get banned again though ?????
