Willock?

I doubt, but who knows

Willock?

They are looking for a "good finisher" though. How could that be Willock.

The only shot i can recall him having in a Bee's shirt was away at Swindon...........has he had anymore since:confused:

Willock?

There is the famous air shot against Walsall

Willock?

He did look at one point against Leyton Orient like he might have almost got into a position whereby there could have been an opportunity, had the ball fallen kindly for him, to have had a speculitive effort...but he fell over.

Does that count?

Collect your bright yellow Size 43 shoes, square-wheeled car and 'amusing' rotating bow tie and please, please, please leave Brentford. Now.

New employment can be located on any English Common on Bank Holidays. The interview will be in the very large caravan, behind the coconut shy. Just ask for Bobo or Flumpsy.

Willock?

Good point but it was more in hope than anything else. That said they did take Harrold didn't they.
The other night read on teletext that new Southends new signing Matt Harrold was being considered for a start vs Norwich. Anyone know when he signed and if any fee involved?

Willock?

Deadline day, undisclosed fee

Willock?

Matt Harrold in the Championship? Surely not!
He must have improved a hell of a lot if that's the case.

Callum Willock was a wrong move in the first place, dont sign ex fulham sh*t as they screw you over time and time again,****ing useless piece of sh*t,Bring back Leon the King Constanine [prob wrong spelling of last name]:D

the only time Constantine produced the goods was at Southend for a season (2003-04) and so far the begining of this season. He has a similar record to Williock. 1 goal every 3 to 4 games.

dear oh dear oh dear

Willock?

Leon Constantine was up there with our worst strikers. Fair play to him for making a career for himself but there was no way you could justify keeping him when he was at Brentford.

Yes and no..... Maybe he didn't merit it because of his performances in training but Leon was NEVER given a real run in the first team, say 3-4 consecutive games to prove himself.

He seems like a player who thrives on confidence and in a manager's trust in him and he has done brilliantly since he left us with an excellent goals:game ratio.

He could well find himself in the Championship with Barnsley this season and the quality of goals he has scored for Port Vale makes me feel that we shafted ourself by the way we treated and then discarded him.

:nono:

Willock?

Constantine made two starts for Brentford. I reckon we missed out, but I don't think he did anything while with us to deserve the soubriquet, "The King".

Willock?

noone in their right mind would even contenplate signing willock!

Willock?

he serves less purpose than a chocolate tea pot, so y the **** would any1 esle want to employ him other than us mugs. And we paid 75k for the priviledge. chers MA.

Willock?

Luckily it was only £50k.

If you get what I mean.

I mean it was only lucky that it was only £50k in the context of a suggestion that it was £75k. :confusingmyselfsmilie:

Willock?

If Willock leaves you know for sure that he will go and become a goalscorer such as a Leon Constantine or Patrick Ageymang or Leo Fortune West...

Just Brentford "init"

Willock?

Think he played himself into the starting line up on Saturday.

He actually looked useful...I am not kidding!!

Willock?

Maybe the fact that the other CW is on trial encouraged him to have a go!

:fishing:

Willock?

Did well when he came on, won the ball a few times, made some good runs and had a good shot after some nice skill.

Willock?

Im sorry but yes he may have well played 'ok' or 'quite well' when he came on but the bloke still was never going to score a goal. That is kind of a draw back for a centre forward. I would love him to prove me wrong but you need to start with strikers who conceivably are going to have a shot. Who here when they here Willock is on the starting team sheet things 'i think callum will get one today'. To say that about a forward is pretty damning.

Willock?

Thought he done well when he came on too :sorted:

Willock?

No way would i start him against Chesterfield. I think we might as well try Cox up there with Kuffour, O'Connor into the centre of midfield and Osbourne right back.

Willock?

....he will only 'do well' ,when he starts scoring....a pre-requisite for a striker.....................

Willock?

Thought he looked quality when he came on. Won the ball in a few situations, had a very good half volley which actually tested the keeper :sorted: Something we dont see very often at griffinpark anymore... Got that bloke sent off and found himself in some good positions for crosses which resulted in knockdowns. At the risk of putting myself in the firing line..Im really looking forward to seeing him start on saturday. Dooo Doooo Dooo Doooo Callum Willock! Dooo DOoo Dooo Dooo

Willock?

Again i am going to stand up for Willock,

I have to say that Willock is asked to do a job as the target man when he gets a start and that is exactly what he does.

Wins headers against defences, much in the same way as Owusu did last season. His work rate is high, admittedly i would love him to score a few more goals.

One other thing to bear in mind is that with Moore suspended can we really afford to lose another player from the squad??
For me if he continues to do the job Leroy asks he is doing well, if he started to lose every header he went up for, stood there looking like a lost sheep or running round in circles, then fair enough, but praise the lad for what he does, and he does the job he is asked to do!!!!:sorted:

Willock?

Im not saying we can get rid of him at the moment, but he did not look 'quality' last night that is going too far. He looked average which is a improvement. You can play the big frontman role like he does and still contribute a lot more than he does so i dont buy that arguement. I honestly dont remember him flicking on a header for his strike partner once for a goal.

A few more goals! Im sorry but i can never look forward to seeing 'One Goal' starting a game.

Willock?

Kuffour is crying out for somebody to feed off up front & as it stands Willock is the only one of the others likely to hold the ball up, head it when we get it in the box & also the only one with any strength on the ball.

Tomlin last night looked like a non-league player from Staines I am afraid & Chris Moore has shown to have a good touch on the ball but cannot head the thing & lacks pace as well.

Please, nobody suggest Alex Rhodes as a forward option or else I will scream
!

I do not think that even Lloyd is the proper target man we crave.
However if fit he would surely be an automatic choice alongside the mostly excellent Joe Kuffour.

Bigger problems at the moment are the continued absence of Skulason & Frampton with very little cover in our threadbare squad.
Some of the kids have looked very naive at times like last night.

However Heywood & Pinault continue to grow in stature even if Pinault wasted a lot of ball last night but was the only player really willing to put a foot on it in the first place.

Tomlin should be kept to the wing, and Saturday Cox should start up front with JK, those two would cause real problems. Although who to stick in centre mid with Pinault, who knows  :nono:

Willock?

Ed ,everyone has their own thoughts on players you was one of those that was singing Mark Mac praises when he was with ,now that is the worst friggin striker apart from Murray Jones that has ever played for us.Anyway back to the other useless **** Callum Willock he was crap ,does he understand the fact he has to use his height and weight to win the ball and also does he know that he has run towards to the goal and try to score [thought that was his job a striker],Think what you want but that is my view on the matter end off.As For Ed"s Comment on my use of "King Leon " well that his view and i aint going to say nothing:D :D :D :D ;)
