Tickets Wolfsburg (A)

Wolfsburg (A)

"We have an allocation of 450 tickets for the match."

Wolfsburg (A)

Hope more get involved - this is going to be the most important friendly we play against Wolfsburg this July!

Wolfsburg (A)

For those staying in Wolfsburg itself, there seems there’s quite e few things to do especially if you’re into cars.

Wolfsburg (A)

This might not go to members, nor next week.
You probably know more about this than I do. That said, if Everton and Newcastle away went to members, can’t imagine us taking up our full allocation for friendly, 480 miles away in late July.

Prepared to wager a beer on it. I would be happy
to be wrong on this one!

Wolfsburg (A)

X 5 tickets sorted…..will be like the aufiedersehn pet first series and sonnyjim is Oz ??? fly to Bremen and 2 nights in Hannover and then back to Bremen…werderbee will be our travel agent…where is that jaaaarmen loving chap anyway ??? ???

Wolfsburg (A)

Ah, a new addition.
Not sure how that is going to work however.
Cliff with his clipboard again I suppose.
The England supporters club used to require you to send proof of your booked travel plans to get your tickets, and your loyalty points, even in the pre-internet days, because it was obvious lots of people would abuse the system otherwise.

Obviously you need to make that clear before you take people's money though if that is your plan.

Wolfsburg (A)

Thought this was being played at the Volkswagen Arena. Pic on the Brentford ticket site suggests it’s the AOK Stadion next to it.

It's at the smaller stadium the AOK, hence why we only have ~400 tickets

So you’re not going to Wolfsburg away (fair enough) but think that those that will be travelling the 560 miles there shouldn’t get any TAPs at all, whilst [checks notes] those who will be going to the Real Betis game at home should?

Nurse! Nurse!

?

I’m not going, no. I’ve seen us play in Germany 3 times and Portugal once, it was never about taps and I don’t consider it a sign of loyalty that I did those games, it just was a reflection of my disposable income and available annual leave at the time. It’s a holiday and a jolly up and it devalues the loyalty point system if you dish them out like confetti for such glamour friendlies.

I recall you claiming for most of last season that the loyalty point system was a closed shop, and yet your happy for points to be dished out for friendlies which will enable some to bag points on the cheap, without attending. Where’s that nurse gone?

Home friendlies aren’t particularly glamorous and aren’t historically particularly well attended, so it would be understandable for the club to incentivise attendance with the offer of some taps, as they do.

That's what I've been saying about TAPs/"loyalty" in general all along...............
However, without raking over old coals, I'm not sure there's a better way to manage the allocation of a restricted number of tickets........
Although deciding when they should be awarded, and how many, is definitely up for discussion.........

People should remember not to (necessarily) conflate a high number of TAPs, with being "more loyal"...........

So much wrong here. But I’ll start with how will anyone “bag points on the cheap, without attending” the Wolfsburg game please? Show your working.

For my part, I’d offer up an inconvenient fact to assist your thinking:

And how do you think that step will be implemented? Or it is just an empty threat?

I'll give you 3 guesses.

Why do you think they asked for your date of birth. Register checks on way in by Mike Sullivan. Maybe.

Maybe they have a simple agreement with Wolfsburg, who will supply data on which barcodes were scanned on entering the stadium. Sounds kinda basic.

Also, with only 400 tickets available to us, you’d have to be a selfish **** to deprive others, just to get a few TAPs.

GDPR would prevent that.

No idea. I don’t work for the club, as far as I know. I just re-posted the official line that’s been publicly circulated that says if you buy a ticket and don’t go you won’t get any TAP points.

We both know they won’t be enforcing that, but if Cliff Crown is waiting outside the turnstile giving it the ‘Halt, where are your papers?’ then fair enough.

Either way, the point still remains that dishing out a silly amount of taps for jolly boys outings devalues the loyalty point system. Save the 50 taps games for 8pm Boxing Day kick offs, that are live on sky or unglamorous northern games with rail replacement/mid week.

What was the TAPs reward for that ****** ******* game at Brighton last season? That should have been 50 TAPs plus another 50 TAPs as compensation for making the effort to go there and watch that *******.

And when he says “good luck” don’t answer in English “thank you” ….it will all end in tears ???

Just to note that Hannover 96 will be playing at home in Bundesliga 2 against St Pauli during the period 22-24 July (exact day yet to be decided) ??

Oh sweet lord….this has big potential to be hello Ken to the max….home hoolies, st pauli anarchist hoolies and hundreds of ‘refreshed’ Brentford all in the city centre….what a mix ?????

Oh dear! Should have stayed at Braunschweig. Everyone knows that, don’t they? ?

Wolfsburg (A)

We (the over 60s) will be sampling fine beers and food against a backdrop of a calm atmosphere. We may communicate some direction to the foot soldiers based in Hannover, should it be conducive to a successful campaign ?
The Colonel (BB) will be leading the charge around the hauptbahnhof when st Pauli arrive on the inter city from Hamburg ???

Probably worth reminding people that in August 2017, Hannover 96 hooligans caused so much violence at a friendly against Burnley at Turf Moor that the game was abandoned at halftime. ?

Are tickets going to members? Few extras want to come
Well it might, but you're not going to find out till July 17th, which is a bit off. Even then, it might be like the Man U friendly last year where the sale to members just didn't happen.
So if your mates want to go on tour with the Bees but actually watching the game is a bonus, I'd make the arrangements now and see if you can get tickets while you're there.
Don't know what the German attitude is to away fans in the home end for a preseason friendly but you'd have thought there was some leeway.
