Very confused. No mention on National Highways site but showing closures on Google Maps.
Due to leave Somerset in an hour or so.
Should I head for the M4 ?
Seems to have disappeared so looks like was duff information. Google maps is showing clear.

Yeah, now showing as open and no delays on Google Maps and the info from the earlier link has now disappeared.....

Hopefully no problems for anyone driving up today..left my father-in-law last night at about 10.30 from Southampton and waze showed diversion from M3 junction 7-6 via A30 back on to M3..After negotiating our way back towards M3 J6 we were meet with the Junction closed to north and south bound traffic, but no indication on Waze. We then made our way back onto A30 towards camberley, rather than going back to M3 at Hartley Witney..big mistake. A30 at junction closed at camberley with no information on waze or google maps..M3 at this junction closed which we new about, then diverted towards frimley, then towards Bagshot...back on M3 at junction 3 and finally arived home about 12.30 this morning...hopefully everybody's journey today will be a lot easier and hope updates are working on different apps...

Safely arrived in TW8.
Possibly quickest journey up ever (y)
Yep, just parked up too!! All good!!

Although the continued long 50 MPH stretch on the M3 is always frustrating. Particularly after the previous months (years??) of it when they were "upgrading" it to a Smart motorway......Is what they're doing now to try and improve that/make it safer??!!
I'd love to know how many months in the last 4 or 5 years that stretch has actually been a 70MPH limit!!!!

Less than six would be my guess.

Exactly!!!
f***ing ridiculous!!!
It's a royal pain in the neck, n'est-ce pas?
I was wondering whether the work involved reverting it to a non-smart motorway, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.
