Soon, I hope. The BBC pundits have been awful. Ex-players are rarely any good. Managers have much broader perspective. See Emma Hayes on ITV. - much better than the other punditsOK, when do we get to see Thomas Frank?
He tried so hard to get soundbites in the Brazil game bless him. Sounded like a sketchShearer really is something else.
Ripped into Thiago all game for his "miss" v Morocco.
Today when Mabappe was sh*te all 1st half, it was "He won't mind that, as he's getting into the right positions".....
Maybe he decided to sack the TV work off after he realised that he’d be broadcasting from Manchester and not Miami?I was thinking the same thing.
I noticed a few weeks ago he wasn't on the BBC promotional photoshoot which many pundits did feature:

FIFA World Cup 2026 on the BBC - meet the lineup and find out how to follow coverage across TV, radio and BBC Sport online
The BBC is delivering its most ambitious World Cup yet, bringing together world-class live coverage, a standout line-up of presenters and pundits, and in-depth storytelling across every platformwww.bbc.co.uk
Also, further down, it mentions he's providing comments on 5 Live. So will we not get to see him?
He’s fortunate that he’s a very handsome footballer because Giroud has all the charisma of a wet towel. Awful pundit.
He does have a great barnet to be fair but it doesn’t make up for the fact that he spends half his time as a pundit claiming “I called it”I was on a bus once, (never again), and some lads were having an in-depth debate about which footballers had the best hair.
Giroud came out on top.
Yeah. Talks a lot, as well.Maybe a little loquacious.
Under pressure to repeat the ‘pressure is for tyres’ classicHe tried so hard to get soundbites in the Brazil game bless him. Sounded like a sketch

By lads I think you mean total fannies.I was on a bus once, (never again), and some lads were having an in-depth debate about which footballers had the best hair.

Apparently the female form of the term is "pundette".Maybe in a minority but I really like Ellen White and Steph Houghton.
I've had to Google that to even know what it meansQuite like Stephen Warnock as a co commentator. Maybe a little loquacious but great insights.
Meanwhile, over in the US, the pundits panel includes Thierry Henry, Zlatan, and some Yank neither of them like (R5 tittle tattle). Apparently, ZI isn’t even hiding his contempt for this bloke anymore. As it’s only week 1, there might be ringside seats available sometime in the next month!
Alexi Lalas was the name in the 5Live pieceLandon Donovan I believe.
He's the anchor but it was Donovan Zlatan called out for a stupid comment. Maybe it's just all Americans.Alexi Lalas was the name in the 5Live piece
I thought it was quite inciteful analysis. Some great memes going around after the Noughts and Crosses analysis during the Hydration break yesterday
It was certainly a level up from Matterface and his inane ramblings. I’m sure I noticed that he only named the players and described the actions on the replay clips, clearly he wasn’t paying attention to the game live.I thought it was quite inciteful analysis.

LOOK OUT ROMELLE !Land on Donovan I believe.
There was a long analysis on BBC iplayer by Hart, Rooney and Meeks. Hart and Meeks really got into details what went wrong for the goals. Its worth a watchI thought Emma Hayes was far and away the best pundit/analyst - she was able to explain most of what was going on in an intelligent, insightful manner as opposed to the ex-players who couldn't do much more than say we weren't defending well, which was f***ing obvious!
Joe Hart knocks spots off most other pundits. His analysis is insightful - he does his homework - and i enjoy listening to him, even if he gets a little intense at times. Other ex-GKs - Rob Green, Mark Schwartzer - make a decent fist of it too. There was a long analysis on BBC iplayer by Hart, Rooney and Meeks. I think Hayes has been excellent. My guess is the venue they’re broadcasting from is normally hired out for parties looking out over Manhattan and so has the kitchen/bar area for that and they couldn’t remove or disguise it so just went with it. I quite like the old school blackboard rather than video game tech usually used. Are they really that great?
Her knowledge of the game was actually very insightful. Compared to Rooney, Shearer and Murphy.
ITV need to have a word with themselves for giving her that set up to work with.
Im all for a laugh but she deserves better then that.
Shes a miserable sod, but alongside the ref expert they are positive additions and not there as a tick box exercise.
He knows his stuff , something annoys me thoughQuite like Stephen Warnock as a co commentator. Maybe a little loquacious but great insights.
Not sure whether to give this a like or not, and whether you meant it as a bit of fun.I thought it was quite inciteful analysis.
What an absolute pile of meaningless b***ocks. It's totally rubbish information that helps nobody! This is getting on my nerves!
Does he look less stressed?Thomas on BBC NOW !
