On the night we play Sheffield Wednesday away, I'll be taking my soon to be 11 year old son to WWE SmackDown TV at the O2 Arena as a birthday treat! Four days later he will be a mascot on his birthday at Griffin Park. Both of my Bees supporting son's are John Cena mad.....so I'm hoping that Mr Cena is in the show! You've got to hand it to the WWE franchise....it is one hell of a show! I watched some British Wrestling a couple of month's back on a TV channel called 'Made in Bristol' and the product is a million miles away from the WWE in terms of entertainment. Just like the NFL, the Americans absolutely know the value of their sporting products and boy do they know how to put on a Show!

i went to watch wwe raw at the o2 a couple of years ago (there was a wrestling thread on here at the time), good night out and interesting to see the show in an almost 'behind the scenes' way. they know how to keep the fans entertained for 3 hours of filming :sorted:

wrestlemania was great this year, although i rarely watch the weekly shows any more.

I agree with you....it is a show! The morning after Wrestlemania, no news of the event was on SSN and yet they show wrestling on a Sky Sports channel?! Mind you, is DARTS a sport? The Premier League is an absolutely fantastic DART's Show....it's absolutely BUZZING every Thursday and makes Darts an exciting product!

I think that's because WrestleMania is a pay per view event and if they featured it the following day people might not bother paying for it.

My son and I have done the WWE weekend down in Minehead a couple of times now, its a good laugh and I like the way they have chucked the divas into it now clearly to keep the dads interested, just a shame its in Butlins, I think my son is probably growing out of WWE now though.

It's a pre-teenage son thing.....I'm just so thankful I don't have to take any of my kids to a One Direction concert!

there is not a single wrestling fan who thinks it's a sport. it's basically a soap opera. some fantastic athletes, though.

one of my mates was at Wrestlemania last weekend, part of his 3-week american road trip. he said it was brilliant.

According to my son, you put your opponent's head between the middle and top rope and then you springboard off the top rope onto the opponent :confused: I think One Direction might be easier to understand!

someone died in ring just before rey mysterio jr delivered that move in some low level wrestling event last month. video is on youtube i believe.
