Wrexham Petition

Wrexham's chairman is currently trying to sell their ground for flats and effectively leave them without a home.
Given the problems that we have had with Noades over Woking and Kingstonian ground moves and the support we have enjoyed from other clubs with that struggle, it would be good to see a few Bees fans names on the petition.

We should all sign this. Their chairman, Alex Hamilton, is like Noades but probably even worse. The Racecourse ground was transferred from previous owners, Wolverhampton and Dudley Brewery, to Wrexham AFC for £300,000 in June 2002. Then, on the very same day, it was transferred again to Damens Limited, a company owned by Mr Hamilton, for nothing.

Just signed, loads of signatures from Palace fans (wonder why given their landlord)? :)

Never had any problems at The Racecourse.

Sign now, they may be doing the same for us next year.

Hmmmm. Since I signed the Wrexham petition, I have received about six email viruses (all clobbered by AVG) from a Wrexham supporter's email address. Not very clever.

As for the official Wrexham website - lol.

Bit odd asking for identification and then covering up the faces, though, isn't it?

Fan-****ing-tastic!!!

Why can't we do this to Noades? You would get Wimbledon and Palace fans turning up as well :D

I'd guess the pix were posted on tharrison.net with the faces already covered...

Mind you, tharrison.net could probably sue the club for breach of copyright! lol

So, if Hamilton's walking away from the club does that mean he's letting them have the ground back?

tharrison.net appears to be closed down and I don't understand the link between the message written and Wrexham

There isn't a direct link. My guess is the pics were posted on tharrison.net to publicise the campaign against the chairman, the official site nicked the pics and the site was then closed down.

I went to Hayes v Wrexham yesterday.

Although the numbers were small, the Wrexham protests were quite vociferous. There were a couple of pitch invaders during the game and right at the end a bloke ran on with a huge cardboard coffin.

After the final whistle about a hundred fans ran on the pitch toward the directors box and held up red cards towards Alex Hamilton and gave him a fair bit of stick.

The only shame was the amount of spastics that follow Hayes - lots of songs about the "taxman" and "going bust" etc. As much as I enjoy the more "boisterous" side of football this is not funny at all IMHO - it could still quite easily be us.
