Wrong picture/ wrong map

Following on from the other thread about missing games/ time, wrong date.

What about wrong places you've go to, wrong maps, wrong attachments, medals showing the wrong place, as below

Great North Run medals show Sunderland instead of Newcastle

Medals given to participants use an image of Sunderland, which has no connection to the event.

Not wrong as such but in 1999, me and a mate were a pair of ignorant teenagers and decided we would go to Wrexham away. Believing that Cardiff must be nearby as Wales was tiny we decided to spend the Friday there for a night out as we had mates at the uni.

Had quite a shock when we got in the car to set off for the game the next morning and looked at the A-Z.

Ouch. Plus the wag who got a taxi to Stamford Bridge and then ended up at the version in Lincs, not SW6!

Fella called Harold made that same mistake. Had a right old tear-up when he got there but got back south too knackered to deal with some French mob and lost his job over it.

Friend of mine was very drunk one evening in London. He jumped in minicab and said “Epping” please and would then direct to address once there. He fell asleep and was woken by cab driver who said “Epsom sir” !

There was that famous story, which I've just found out is fake, about the Walsall fan who booked a cheap hotel, for Portsmouth away, and it turned out to be on the Isle of Wight.

In that area, snooker player Neil Robertson, once famously ended up in Bradford- on-Avon instead of Yorkshire….

Saved this one for as long as I can. True as a friend was in the minibus.

Fulham Euro final, all depressed after losing in Hamburg. All got in the mini bus and set the Sat Nav for home. Only questioned it when they saw welcome to Denmark. Sat Nav was taking them to the nearest port. They were booked on the tunnel

Fair to say they were late for their train booking.
