Im at Lords today. SA bowling well but if cloud cover lifts then batting will get easier they need to snare a couple more before lunch.

Think 250 is par. Still some movement. Aussies looked set to get more but a dumb reverse sweep attempt by Carey has opened the floodgates

I completely unrderstand and agree with the history bit, but players were desperate to play at Lords years ago, now players hate playing there because the pitch is always so poor.
They really need to sort that out and make it great again.
As a fan, i never enjoyed watching criclet there, always felt so sterile and lots of rich day trippers fhat just wanted to see what the place was like, almost making a pilgrimage.

Oh trust me, i dont want to see huge scores either, i like seeing fair matches where if somebody has bowled well they take wickets rather than being gifted them, the same as when a bat gets in they can go on
Lords pitch has a natural slope that makes the game more interesting without having to prepare a poor pitch - it has been that way for years now, in county and international games.
You would think with the extortionate ticket prices they could get decent groundsmen

Its game over now. You cannot f*** with Australia in world finals they just dominate and are incredible hard to beat in these situations.

I don't concur to that - SA were batting in sunnyish conditions on Day 1 and they were 47-4 at the close.
