Just back from the game and as many have said a very good performance against a piss poor Wycombe side.Forrester was the star man for me our passing was a joy to watch unlike the utter sh*te kit we played in with white shorts to top it off.Shame about vignal getting injured he was our best player up till then hope it's a minor strain.Good Bees turnout must have been close on 300 as they gave the crowd as 900 ish looked more of us than them.Spoke to Andy Scott in the pub before said he was running his own scouting company and had an interview for the Gillingham job, bless.The pitch was getting more flooded as the game went on and what a crap night more like a November evening.I always thought this would be our toughest pre season game but it turned out to be a very one sided game with us having about 75% of possession.Not going Saturday sadly but l would suggest any fans unsure about going get up to Walsall this could be the start of something good.

Again we were up for it and went out to dominate and win.
This preseason has shown us alot, that Uwe has made his mark and everyone is comfortable playing the way Uwe wants. Another improvement :)
Moore had a good game in goal, couple of great saves.
Forrester was top of the diamond and was class.
Reeves had a good game at the bottom of the diamond.
Douglas and same played either side and also put in very good shifts.
Vignal at left back looked decent and got forward but think he went off with a hamstring.
Encouraging performances from Micheal, Redwood and Mawsom.
Logan had acres of space at right back and got involved going forward very well.
Donaldson took his goal very well, shrugging off the defender and slotting home. His all round play is brilliant and has looked very good in preseason and has linked with Farid very well. These two look a great combination, Clayton does his all round play and chips in with goals while Farid is powerful in the air and his a fox in the box. Should have also scored in the first half but shot wide from 8 yards out. Also close with a header in the second half.
Second goal was an own goal.
Third was crossed by Weston who picked out Dallas at the far post who slotted home
Weston also played very well when he came on as the loan striker. 3 goals in preseason and a couple of assists.
Kevin scored the 4th from inside the six yard box after a corner or a cross I think fell to him and fired home :)
Must have had well over 10 corners and could have scored at least 3 or 4 more.

Good performance, albeit against a very poor Wycombe side Waddock did not seem interested, shared the evening with 6 Brentford fans and 1 Wycombe, good meal
in their hospitality bar, agree with most of the comments re our team, it was interesting to be asked by the young Wycombe players in front of me who the number 10
was (Forrester) they were obviously impressed Michael O looked quite sound (is he Dev Squad?), also nice to see Roger Cross there although I hope he isnt sniffing
around any of our players.

We played well, especially in the second half, and the highlight being the fourth goal where we just kept the ball, passed it around about twenty times to 'Ole's' from the Brentford crowd and finished it off with a turn of pace and Kev O'c knocking it home.

Wycombe though to be fair were poorer than poor - rumour is that they are in BIG trouble too and could be the next club to fold.

The trialist from Liverpool looked quality until he pulled his hamstring and Forrester was the class act.

Brentford looked comfortable without being spectacular, still think we are very very light upfront and the new lad didn't do anything last night to prove otherwise.

If I hadn't been at the Stoke friendly last season I would have come away pretty impressed!

According to the Chronny will look in a good position to sign Paul Hayes, him plus a good LB and we will look pretty good.

Is Roger Cross still a scout for Millwall ? If so he would have been there for Stuart Beavon who they are about sign.....apparently.

When we sign Hayes, Charlton will sign N'Guessan and Millwall will sign Beavon :thetruth:

Trialist from Liverpool? You know he left them almost 10 years ago? Thanks for the report though.

Kenny Jackett isn't stupid. Does he really want to sign Beavon?

Beavon is a good player, always looked good against us and 25 goals last year in a sh*te team
