It's one thing he can improve on I think. Often gets an early yellow tugging the winger back having given him a yard, so you spend the rest of the game fretting about a second.

Couple of minor worries

1) his competition in midfield is almost impossibly stern

2) I worry for a fullback he really just doesn’t have a consistently good enough cross or final ball in his locker

I guessed he’d been given instructions to tighten up as EF seemed to have decided to give it a go – played everything clean and simple, then charged up the wing and smacked the ball at goal, unfortunately got too close to the goal line. He looked good and a complete contrast in style to Kayode.

I thought he was outstanding at Liverpool last season when he came on in midfield, I honestly think he could do a top job there for us going forwards

Maybe, but I had a ringside view of the crunching tackle on his Scottish teammate Robertson, only going to be one winner there and he didn't come from Liverpool recently. I love watching Hickey, tough and assured.
