Didn't Middlesboro have the New Road one game?

Added away allocation??

Cardiff game was hate corner at it's best especially when Herman scored the winner!! Proper passion and support.

It's because Charlton don't run that fleet of free coaches full of Kentish people to away games. The Medway towns must be empty when Charlton play at home.

I know that Valley Express run coaches to Charlton home games for £7. Those cheeky buggers do a pick up in my village! I'll probably only ever use them if I want to shop at Makro's!rofl

What about the millwall game years ago when pinamonte scored that screamer? I remember turning up at the turnstile and trying to get my normal seat in e block and being told that this was being used for millwall fans. I had to go in new road, I seem to remember they fenced off part of ealing road for them too.

There was some Millwall in E Block but it wasnt designated for them, so not official....just loads of wall about.
I do remember the New Road given to Swindon...that was when the Firemen were walking along pitchside with buckets...only for the Swindon to coin them....mind you ,they got lots of coins,it just hurt a bit more than usual from a bucket collection.

Leicester had the far end (by the Wendy House) of the New road terrace in 1992/93. :(

No they had a spot bother after though !

Can't remember if it was them or Sunderland, but one NE team had loads in Braemar seats, I was in the paddock. Their chants of "Subutteo!" and "Mickey Moose Cloob, Mickey Moose club allo" still burn...the Swines!

That's when a young Julian Joachim played for them. Didn't we lose 3-1!?

Wasn't there a Milk Cup game against them when the (presumably) Baby Squad acted up and decked a WPC?

Sunderland. First home game of 1987/88 season. Lost 2-0. Official attendance of 7,000-ish. :suspect:

3-1 is correct :(

You can see the Leicester in the New road at the start of this..........

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Mental celebrations from them. I remember blokes in the 'family section' below picking their kids up to gob on us, coaches given police escorts in and out of the ground.

One of the most intimidating atmospheres I can remember.

A few times at the Valley when the away end has sold out we have split the East stand for more away fans just wasen't sure you could do the same?
If we split our East Stand any more the whole ground would collapse. Seriously though, I can't remember what it's called (is it Frazer House chaps?), but the closest of the Green Dragon Lane tower blocks offers a great view from the upper floor hallways if you're really stuck. I would say the top 7 floors will be fine with room for approx 70 people on each landing. So that's another 400-500 of you sorted. Failing that, you could try Banana Prowse I suppose? Hope this helps :sorted:.

I'm sorted for a ticket but I know dozens who are not.

We played Stevenege last month and were told by them that we couldn't have anymore tickets once we sold out our 1300 or so but then they gave us another 400 on the side.
So thats the reason why I asked the question!
If it could have been done that would have been great it just means now that there will be quite a few Charlton in home areas.

I'm pretty sure if the boot was on the other foot you would do the same?

My first ever Bees game :D Don't ask me if I remember anything though.

Whilst we're in League One, Brook Road is adequate. Any higher level then your question Big Al would be valid.

If there is why even mention it? What does that serve?

I love how fans do this, can't help feeling it's a last little retort of "yeah well anyway we'll be secretly standing next to you!" Big swing.

Why don't the ones who aren't sorted for a ticket come on and fish for info? Or have you elected yourself as some sort of 'fan leader', either way you seem a bit of a nipple.

It's a fair question to ask. The reason you can't have any more - even if we wanted to give you some more - is that Griffin Park doesn't lend itself to increasing the away allocation becasue each of the two main stands only has one entrance so there is no way Bees and Charlton fans could be segregated. And that's that...

Remember that day well. The "family stand" started chucking half eaten burgers at us.Went to chuck one back and got threatened with arrest.Managed to get a beer before the game though.

One of the memory men will know - gave over the whole of New Road for (I think) a Sunday game.

yep, fair enough.....if we were in the same position we would certainly be doing the same.....expect to see loads of charlton in the new road as the stewards are next to useless in there and the old bill even more so.......will be home fans getting grief from the club as usual if anything happens :( so im going to sit very far away from hate corner just in case ;) lol

and yes, we really should be giving you more tickets but we actually cant.....its bleedin embarrasing yet again

:box:
They got sorted out in the Paddock and outside the Brickie's before the game as well.

I remember that only too well.......when they started bombarding us with all sorts of missiles i copped something very hard on my forehead which split it open (still got a scar today ) and it went through the brikkies window !!!!!!

Great days !!!!!!!

It was a walk in the park compared to the home game for some lol

No, not that one.
the Easter game, Swindon were on a promotion run.

That was the afternoon I started to hate all things yellow. The sight of thousands of those fukwits screaming it out for the best part of 90mins
